Here u go. I suggest you to go down to have a look physically yourself. The visual difference for all 4 cuts against their own SIC round is drastic. All brighter more firey. Cushion and oval is cheaper than their SIC round for carat so its very worth it. I think the visual comparisons are on their youtube channel you should be able to find it there.

I'm looking to buy a diamond ring. Currently considering a Tiffany. Then came in here and saw that you guys strongly prefer this JP instead. How does JP compare to Tiffany in terms of quality?

Also, it looks like Tiffany never ever goes on sale? What about JP? Any tips on how to save some money on this highly expensive purchase? Right now considering to buy a Tiffany duty free once the corona thing blows over and i start flying again.

Brand aside, save by either going for smaller carat or inferior 'quality'. What is your budget ?

Visit both and you’ll know your answer. Tiffany is just for the brand. They cost 2-3 times more and JP’s quality is way better.

I saw a Tiffany ring going for $5,950. 0.39 carat. In terms of gem quality, quite average. I think it was VS1, G. May be 1 grade higher than that. Means i can get the same ring for $2k+ from JP?

I remember seeing an old post before someone compared a Tiffany and JP ring before and the JP ring was more sparkly. Tiffany is not GIA certified btw. They use their own in-house cert.

Their 0.4 carat, E, VS2 costs $8,600.
The one i saw is 0.39 carat, G, VS1 costs $5,850.

Quite a big jump in price for 0.01 carat more, and 2 color grades higher. Or did diamond prices fall in the interim?

Hmm seems like is because color grades are worth a lot. Tiffany salesgirl offered me another ring. 0.51 carat, I, IF. $8,600.

Go see the Decagon and their Round 10 if you really want sparkles. My girl chose Decagon on spot after shopping around 6 different places.

0.5 I Color, IF Clarity for $8.6k is very high le. It's really for that teal ring box sia. Tbh, I don't even know if someone is wearing a Tiffany ring or not in public. No one can tell the branding on a ring. They can only see how sparkly the rock is.

For reference, my Decagon 0.5ct, E-F Color, VVS2-VS1 Clarity is only 4k. Summore the cut is much better than the usual 57 facets rounds.

JP just did a 1ct Decagon unboxing video. I wonder if its from anyone's ring here?

After much more reading and thinking, i'm wondering if its possible and wise to downgrade my cut of SIC to 'ideal' and upgrade to a bigger carat? I might have been too quick to decide on a SIC after i was shown the difference between the 2 of them.

Here's the scope of my 0.51 SIC that i received from JP, what do you guys think?

I'm also contemplating ordering the new White series round and was quoted 0.45-0.49, F-G, VVS2-VS2 at $3200 - $3600 but waiting time is around 2 months or so. I can visually see the differences from the white series (more bling and sparkle) with the prototype 0.7 that was showned to me versus the SIC/Ideal.

Which one do you guys reckon i should go for? I'm leaning towards either ordering the white series round (but smaller carat) or take the ideal since i can't really tell the difference between that and the SIC.

Help guys! Thank in advance.

Hi guys, need some help here. I'm facing a dilemma, went down to JP for a 2nd look and Casey picked a HOH Ideal, it's also a 0.51 but VVS2 and G color. He mentioned that this piece has surface graining and internal graining inclusions and only visible under certain lighting conditions.

Its $550 cheaper at $3250 (the 0.51 SIC above is $3600), honestly i couldn't tell the diference between the ideal and SIC with my untrained eyes. Here are the scope of the 0.51 Ideal.

Round 10 or decagon(if u want something more unique, its fire display is quite different from the round 10 w series). But I'd go r10 if you're set on round and 6 prongs is your design of choice.

The sparkles and brightness difference is way too obvious. G color r10 looks brighter and whiter than a E color SIC. The size difference you gonna see is marginal for that carat size. So value wise is definitely worth it. A brighter whiter, at least 3 grades in color more, at least 40% more firey and sparkley. The trade off in value is a little no brainer.

Their white series is value, which makes me wonder if they would raise the price in the future, for their patents and quality. Drawback is the wait time as you said.

Perfect 10 hearts and arrows vs perfect 8 hearts and arrow (SIC), the main difference is just that as the former has smaller facets, there will be more, but smaller sparkles, as for the latter having larger sparkles. It’s up to individual preference on how it looks, 10 doesn’t mean it’s better than 8, all depends on which kind of sparkling look that you like.

As for the differences between ideal and Super ideal, the differences aren’t that significant unless you’re quite observant and whether how anal you are on wanting a ‘perfect’ cut diamond

$5k for 0.3ct 😳

A Super Ideal Cut 0.3ct from JP is about 1k++. With the setting would be arnd 2k+.

WB 1 pair around 2k is more than enough already. If its those plain simple ones, a pair should be about 1k+. I customized my bands with JP.

They got give discount for the wedding bands if you got your e-ring from them. But no harm checking other places out too. Wedding bands got different quality and some places use the cheapskate method or hollowing out the band. You will know it cos the band will feel much lighter.

Thanks for your reply! I am going for a halo setting because that's what she likes. I agree that the white series round that was shown to me (it was a 0.73 though) sparkles more than the SIC (0.51). It was even more obvious when Casey showed me under the HAD unit.

My only concern is not able to choose/know the exact carat/clarity/color of the diamond since i will have to pre-order it and hope i get the bigger carat of the range.
