Hi guys. Thanks for replying. Still at crossroads of whether to give up the currently diamond. But as of now the salesperson said there aren't any that meets the specs that I'm looking for. ☹️ Will meet up with her tomorrow to discuss again.

Since you are going down to the shop again. Compare the 2 diamonds and see if you prefer the shine of the solasffera. If you see no difference then go for super ideal cut and up the carat.

From what I have read up from this tread, there are very limited stocks for solasfera and its quite a good specs you have there.

Thanks! Yeah, I was impressed by the octagon and they showed it to me in different lights and was totally convinced. haha.

A few weeks after I reserved the diamond, they asked if they could borrow it for a education video as mine happened to be one of the "bigger" diamonds left that was still not set on a ring yet. So I told them they could use it and they shared the video with me later.

The setting I chose is with side diamonds. I'll upload it again when I'm back. Don't have the pics with me now.

This is my finalised design :D

Hi Guys! Definitely not a pro with diamonds here. Went down twice to JP and was quoted 6.9k for a 0.64 D VVS1. (GIA 1217691086)

SO has a small finger at a size of 7.5 and hence I feel that a .64 is just right. Hence, opted for a D VVS1 as I do not have to get such a large carat (thanks to her small fingers :D)

What do you guys think of the price and the diamond? Will provide the scopes once available!

On a side note, there is a "feather" in the diamond. Will that be an issue?

Went down JP the second time today and it seems like i just bought off this diamond, 0,64D VVS1, $6900. Happy purchase. Feels like a "perfect" grade diamond with those specs. :D

Wonder if a 4 claw or 6 claw is better for 1 Carat size

I prefer the 4 claw. It covers the diamond less and it exposes more of the diamond. Mine is a Brellia so no choice can only choose 4 prongs.. haha

There are 4 vs 6 claws videos that can help you decide

Hahaha bro glad that you got that! Yup the specs of the diamond is perfect but I wanted to bump up the carat. In the end I got a 0.741 E VS2 for 7.6k. :)

Thanks man! During the first visit, I was about to confirm and pay for this diamond and then my sales agent told me it was reserved by someone. Quite disappointing. 2 days later was informed by him saying that it was no longer reserved. went down immediately to get it.
