Hi, May i check with the people here who has purchased diamond ring from JP. Can we bargain off the price that they quoted? I intend to purchase a 1ct diamond but the price quote is quite off from the price you all get in a few pages back. I saw 1ct was like only $15k? but mine was quoted close to $18k for one that is super ideal 1.02ct VVS2 E

Because your clarity and color is good, that counts for the price :)

Yours is a very high color and clarity. I know a Super ideal cut 1ct E VS1 is around 16k. So VVS2 would be about 17-18k? Price seems to be abt out there. The scopes looks very good. It's going to be a super sparkly rock for sure.

IIRC, the date is when GIA certifies the diamond. I think bigger diamonds are slower moving compared to the smaller ones. Not everyone can afford a 1ct high specs :o

Anyone encounter engagement ring with side diamonds setting and find it difficult to maintain? Like do the side diamonds get loose?

wow that is a very big diamond 1.61ct. mind to share how much is the 1.61ct diamond? i think it is an excellent piece except for one minor part where i notice under the aset scope, the middle of the diamond is green which signifies less intense light return.

i thought the centre being green is quite normal? most ASET scopes have a green centre, or at least most of them that i see in this forum haha.

Hi All,

I went down to JP shortly after reading about it in this thread about 3 weeks ago.

Vince was the person that served me, he was very professional and not pushy at all.
My gf (then) wanted a customized design and Vince was able to come up with in less than 3 weeks!

I am really impressed by his level of service and their workmanship.

Needless to say, i popped the question last week in time for her birthday and she loves the ring a lot.

I thought of getting from overseas like bluenile, but i think getting from JP saves you all the hassle and eliminates all the unknowns.

Not to mention the warranty and free resizing and replating service!

All in, i paid a little over $6k for my ring which is the standard pricing they have across the board.

Congrats! I met Vince before. Very friendly and knowledgeable guy. He served us for our wedding bands.

Did you customise your ring? Got pics?

i think it is a very nice diamond. $25k is quite a good price considering a big carat size. May I know when they quoted a price, does it include GST? Since it is such a huge purchase, wonder they allow us to use 2-3cards to pay for the ring so to maximise rebates.

They're very flexible with payment, you can use UOB One card for best rebate. e.g. 6k payment split into 1 quarter 2k each month, rebate will be 300 (5%), they will allow you to go down to their shop every month to charge your card.

Their prices are very reasonable indeed.

no idea about their credit cards. Got a slight discount when i asked about cash payment.

Confirmed my design with JP :)

Decided it was better to bring my gf down to choose the design. haha. I know its not as romantic but our house keys are coming anyway so she knows its coming :s13: Plus she would get to pick what she really wants.

The side view is going to be the same as this. I really like how you can see the workmanship quality on their rings.

But in 4 prongs with small diamonds like this.. The octagon is really damn sparkly man. It's going to take awhile to get used to the bling.. I don't know if you guys tried taking photos of the diamonds but keeps getting blur from the sparkles.
I requested for the sales staff to tell her the ring will only be ready in 4 months instead of 2 months. So there is still some element of surprise.. and apparently, the sales staff told me this is quite normal and alot of guys do that too.. :s13:
