thank you! it's VS1
how do u tell its clarity from the scopes/hca?
Thanks for the reply.
I summary the diamond again for information.
I get two offer as below.
1st
- JANN PAUL
0.30ct G VS2 with simple 18k setting -$2,000
(Forgot the GIA report but i believe they are only selling high quality diamond)8 arrow and hearts are excellent optical symmetry
2nd
- MEYSON
0.40ct F SI1 with simple 18k setting -$1975 (Refer below for more infomation)
Eight arrows are excellent optical symmetry, since it come with ring itself, it is unable to view the eight heart.
GIA-2226667094, Triple Excellent with feather inclusion
HCA Score - 0.80 Triple Excellent factor and "Very Good" for spread factor
SIG Certificate - Triple Excellent for Briallance, Dispersion and Scintillation
(SIGMA International Gemology Laboratory)
So guys, will you prefer the diamond from Jannpaul with 0.30ct or Meyson with 0.40ct?
Thanks for the reply.

SIGMA and GIA is very different and not the same standard. SIGMA represents EGL in Asia - http://www.eglasia.com.hk/SN/img/pr_june_21_2009.pdf
EGL is in hot waters and has a bad reputation for inconsistent gradings. They were exposed in US for severely over grading diamonds. That probably explains the price difference.
I would still with GIA or AGS.
Hi VaLLeceR,
Ya. I got what you meant. The diamond offered by D'Meyson came with GIA as well. Just they provided additional certificate which was from SIGMA.
Hi Kino,
Yup. The diamond ring is the " Starr Heart and Arrow " series at D'Meyson. It is not cloudy in the lighting. But unfortunately they did not have ASET scope to view the diamond. They only have the normal scope to see whether the 8 arrows are excellent optical symmetry.
But, i think i will probably buy the diamond offered by D'Meyson.

Hi all!
Gotten my scope images. Any feedback would be appreciated! (help with embedding images would be appreciated too)
i've taken interest in another 0.664 Octagon G VS1 which is $100 cheaper then the diamond below. Not sure if i should sacrifice color and clarity for a bigger diamond.

How do we know whether the staff who serve us is from HOH or JP? Any difference?
That's quite a big difference.
GIA or AGS won't affect much on the pricing right? Cause my diamond is from AGS
Hi all Pros,
After all these years of following the thread, finally went to JP recently and as expected, tip top services. Just gotten my scope, maybe I am being too paranoid over the diamond I have chosen.

I seem to find the gap between the hearts and arrow very very close to each other, unlike others' heart and arrow scope having a substantial gap.
The depth of the diamond is over 62% at 62.1%, is it not so ideal?
Also, just find it weird that this diamond has not been taken since last year end. Any issue with the scope that any pros can spot??
Thanks so much=)

This is probably a HOH diamond, cuz it's H colour. JP cuts off at G. But H isn't necessarily a bad colour. Cartier cuts off at H. Tiffany cuts off at I.
Scopes look okay I think. If you get a good price, by all means go for it!
