Tried won't budge. But ring setting you customise vs choose stock no difference in price. So customise to make your money worth.

One of my friend who bought there got a huge discount apparently. The specs of the diamond is not compromised at e same time.

Hi buyers, did anyone of you try to haggle price when at JP?
If so, what is the range?
Can pm me if you are not comfortable sharing here heh

I haggle and they did budge, twice haha. Both were for the diamond (different diamonds) but not much lar. A few hundred but also got the feel good feeling there haha.

Paul told me before if the USD rates are very high and the diamond price are unusually high they usually can budge a litle but otherwise their company policy is not to.

A few hundreds out of what value? There's a big difference between afew hundreds of a diamond below 10k and above 10k haha

Cannot say like that lar. You got one of their signature cuts right? They are quite stingy on discounts for those, I believe.

I got their super ideal cut, normal round shape. Same for my friend too. I think he got it at close to 20% discount.

I don't think this is possible too, maybe it's a misunderstanding and the 'discount' was a comparison between 2 different Jeweler for a similar stone.

Yeah hopefully. This will make me feel better haha.
Anyway, collected my stone ytd. I must say the biz at JP is so good. All packed with clients.

Honestly, I don't know. :s13: I consider myself quite a logical fellow, and now I don't see how spending that amount for an item that holds almost no resale value makes sense.

Alot of times most items you buy altho there 'resale' value...but what are the chances of you really selling it?

I'll say spend a comfortable amount bah (and also consider if you wanna give a 'wow' factor to your SO's friends due to the big diamond.) I believe the average proposal ring size in SG is 0.5-0.7, if you wanna go for an above average yet still not overly priced, go for 0.85-0.89. Or else 1+ if you want a 'wow' factor. haha.

Another good gauge will be around 1.5 months - 2 months of salary for an average or go as high as you feel like if you will love to spend more.

No wonder my 3D render until now also haven't complete. Have been waiting since 15 Dec.

Have you explored online retailers ?

Its true diamonds have no resale value for me, maybe ill make the most of the "value" by upgrading the stone every 5 years or so via the trade in program that gives you 100% credit of the stone to buy a bigger one.

I think gold is more practical and that is definitely the belief of many old timers, but nowadays every lady needs at least 1 diamond ring in order not to be left out :D

Bros and sis, which one do you guys think is the most elegant looking ehh? These belong to the Verragio Parisian collection. I am personally undecided between options C and E.

Your opinions are welcomed!
