I actually think that the half prongs rose looks abit odd lei. And do note that actual rose gold is not like 3D renders, it's nowhere as close to the pink tone, actual18k rose gold in person is more like gold tone. Do confirm on the real Color and not 3D render Color before you confirm the design wor, it's different.

Haha glad you like it. I anyhow photoshop one. I have seen one of JannPaul's ring unboxing videos before and that particular ring has this two-tone prongs also. Cuz they don't want the diamond to look yellowish because of the rose gold colour.

I believe it looks weird because the image is badly photoshopped haha. Request for a 3D render from Jann the boss lar confirm will look nice.

There won't be anything wrong with their Super ideal level diamond, they have got Super strict standard, all will perform the same.

sounds reasonable. i assume the normal setting is just a standard setting without side diamonds, and the additional cost of 500 is to add side diamonds in a micro pave setting along the band on either side

My current setting is 18k white gold with 2 side 0.05ct diamond, but decided to spice things up by adding the side diamonds micro pave settings and was quoted extra $500, current settings around $1500.

people recommend if less than half carat get the 4 prong but it will be less secured.

on my part i choose 6 prong to make the diamond look more rounder. I've got .61

I don't think the security matter much in terms of 4 or 6 prongs, there are many people using 4 prongs with 2-3 carats. As long the prongs size is not specially customised to be much smaller, it will be secure.

Just chose whichever that you think looks nicer

Not exactly... with 4 prongs there is more of the girdle exposed, and a higher chance of impact on the diamond's girdle which may cause it to chip. I don't mean that there is a high chance of that happening, but higher than if the setting had 6 prongs by virtue of there being less of the girdle exposed.

My fiancee's diamond actually came loose in the setting recently, it could be rotated slightly, prongs loosened for some reason. I was quite happy then that I chose a 6 prong setting haha

Well, true la, 6 prongs is definitely more secure than 4 prongs, but i think for certain designs, it will only look good with 4 prongs, really depends on the design on the ring setting.

Did your fiancee knocked the ring hard?
