Chopped a 0.61 D VS1. Here are the scope pics.

Its from JP new octagon stocks. The scope looks good to me. Anything else I should look out for??

Apart from the basic 1.5 hour tutorial of diamonds by them which I think is abit long.

Anything else to take note when buying the rock. Will be my first time buying.


Basically I have something in mind.

Cut : ideal cut.
Carat : 0.5
Colour : F or G near Colourless.
Clarity : vvs or vs

I email them and was quoted 2.8-3.3K for the rock and 500-600 for the ring settings.

For ring settings.
Will it be good to get low setting instead as high setting if the hand swing the rock will fly if hit something while walking

Clarity VS enough, IMO, for a 0.5, go for high setting so the stone will look bigger.

can u guys guess what cut is this?

the clarity characteristic is cloud crystal, which mean the type of inclusion that are on the rock itself right?

from my understanding this is the type of inclusions found in this rock under 10x magnifying glass right but not naked eye.

what kind of inclusion is consider acceptable , but i know all rock are not the same when they are being found and extracted. There will be different kind of inclusion for each rock.

Yours is their Super Ideal Cut right?

This is the inclusion list:

Should avoid laser drill hole, knot, twinning wisp, chip, cavity, bruise, etch channel. The rest should be ok as long as its not on the side of the diamond.
IIRC, JP filter all of these out alreadi
