Hi there, Noderite doesn't stock Charles & Colvard. I mentioned them because they were the more well known moissanite company, I'll edit my previous post to be more clear. They had the original moissanite patent and it expired, now other companies have come in to develop better moissanite with better colour, clarity and slight increase in hardness.
The moissanite rough that C&C uses is the first generation 6H (SiC) which has a yellow/green cast to it that makes the gem look poor quality. Noderite uses the much improved second generation 4H (SiC) rough that is totally white/colourless. Also Forever One cut is inferior as its designed to match a diamond's optical performance not moissanite. I saw it in person and in reviews, feel that Forever One has a dark, mushy splintery center. Also, reading through reviews they seem quite inconsistent with their quality. That's why I went with Noderite as the moissanite is DE white.
You can top up money for 18k gold but 14k is more durable for everyday wear as gold is soft. I just had a look at the jeweller you mentioned but feel that Noderite's ring setting is thicker (3mm) and workmanship looks solid and sturdy, the prongs are set perfectly. Most jewellers we saw the ring thickness is thin really or at worst not symmetrical. It is recommended to have 2mm width at least to withstand everyday use because the gold will wear down and become thinner with time. There's also a degree of customisation even with the classic ring at Noderite, it's made-to-order and you're able to choose the setting you want, we went with a basket setting (low-set for practical purposes) but they offer high-settings like tiffany, cathedral. Also can choose smooth/knife-edged, tapered etc. They will discuss/advise you according to your lifestyle needs, provide 2D draft then 3D CAD model to confirm before they make it. I feel that you get what you pay for when it comes to gold weight, workmanship, level of customisation and service. Also a note about the pave diamonds, G quality is more on the yellow side, if you have a DE colour moissanite set against G pave diamonds you'll see the contrast and obvious difference in colour.
Here's pics for your reference, you can see the thickness of the ring width, basket and prongs
