In case anybody is looking for oval white series >1.5 carat. We just made a deposit on an Oval White Series G VS2!

Quotes for diamond only:
1.51 G VVS2 - $22,500
1.70 to 1.75 G VS1/VS2 - $28,000 to $30,000
1.80 G VVS1/VS2 - $31,000 to $34,000

Since the oval white series is so new, we had nothing to base price comparison on for its size. Went to other stores and yes, they carry oval cuts of the same weight for half the price, but the light leakages and bow tie really bothered me! Ended up choosing JP as we fell in love with the prototype they had in store. We also changed our design / carat size over 4 times and JP was kind enough to render and craft 2 wax moulds of different diamond carat sizes for me. Great service!

Wait time for a custom cut oval is currently 3 to 4 months. Will update again with specs when it comes in.

To the JP shi fus here - what happens next? Does JP keep us in the loop when they source a rough, cut the diamond etc? What should I be asking for in the mean time?

I'm waiting for my custom cut oval too! Placed my deposit last month. I rem the oval takes a longer time to cut compared to the round 10 and decagon. Something to do with the special shape and its harder to find the diamond rough.

I've never seen any modified cuts to this level of precision. According to them, there is only 1 master cutter that can cut this white series. IMO, visually for that 50-60% increase in brightness, fire and scintillation, its very worth it. Just a guideline for you guys, the oval white series surpasses the Super Ideal rounds in terms of all light performance. In terms of pricing (carat for carat), the oval is cheaper than the Super Ideal rounds by 10-20%. I believe their white series cushions are also less by 10-20%. The Decagon and Round 10 is 5-10% more. Hope this guideline help you bros. For almost a double visual difference and no branding premium placed on the white series price, its much more worth it than any Super Ideals or Ideals.

It truly is special!! If you don't mind me asking what size, colour and clarity did you get and how much were you quoted?

Thank you!

Uploaded for you. Congatz on your white series! The scopes looks great. I dont think you need to worry about their white series since only 1 cutter can do it. Their QC must be damn tight.

Mine not as big as yours. Haha. My oval is 0.8ct+ G-F VS1-VVS2, $7-7.8k. I prefer the G Color as it already looks very white for their white series. Plus for the same color, it looks whiter than the SIC. So G is more than good than enough for me. Haha

SK Jewelry - Star Carat
Anyone got review of the cut quality of their diamond ? Visited their store but no ASET scope for viewing so want to find out if anyone know the fire / brilliance of their diamond. Price for the size of their diamond seem too good to be true.

Decagon White series Diamond

Went to JP today and got a quotation for this specification. Wanted some advice on whether the pricing is reasonable. I am planning to go with the lower range of choice 1.

Decagon White Series
(1) 0.81 to 0.84Ct, F to G, VVS1 to VVS2 ($8.5k t $9.9k)
(2) 0.76 to 0.79Ct, F to G, VVS1 to VS2 ($8k to $8.7k)

The price is about there for the 0.8cts. TBH, in terms of visual size difference, there wont be much between a 0.7ct++ and 0.8ct. Though the cost is not that much difference also. Personally, I'll consider (2). But if budget allows, I'll take (1). The Decagon itself is already special. So no need to focus so much on the size.

Hello all! Was quoted 3.1k for the above diamond. Any advice if the pricing is reasonable? Thanks in advance!

That's their white series rough right? The price is close to their SIC rounds. The decagons is 5-10% more than the SIC. That's about $200-$300 more for their new and better cut. Its a great trade off.

The next tier 0.5ct decagon will be in the $4k+ range liao.

Thank you! I was a bit concerned about the clarity given the needles and clouds on the diamond. Think the blemishes will be obvious as they're near the ridge lines?

Sounds about there too - given the price ranges they gave me. Maybe plus/minus a few hundred.

Yes, that's their white series round. Was initially told that we needed to top up about $500 more to upgrade from SIC to white series, so we went ahead with it. The diamond was done a few days ago, and in the end we had to top up $800 instead of $500, so thinking if it's still a good deal.
