Hi diamond pros, went down to JP for an appointment and was quoted an instock diamond. I was quoted 3.3k for this. This price was quoted as 'before war' price.

0.427 E VVS1 (4 pinpoints at the back of diamond)
AGS 1041114228064

I would appreciate some help thanks!

Hello! Would like to ask if anyone here has managed to get discount for setting from JannPaul?
I was quoted 1.4k for setting, think it's a lot higher than other places?
Anyone tried to set their JP diamonds elsewhere?
You can get discount on the setting. Diamond is confirmed not able to.

Hi,

I went down to JP today and they shared with me that the diamond in my range is ready. Could any of the experts here share with me if this diamond is acceptable? Apologies in advance, I just created this account, so I am unable to post the link to the AGS report.

0.460 F VVS2
AGS 104117825032

Much appreciated!
Thank you :)

It's a Decagon. They already have very strict QC for their white series cuts.

Same as above. Pinpoints are ok inclusions and one of the more common ones. You'll need to 40x magnification to find it for a VVS1.

Mine is similar also 2k coz the men one thicker. They told us it’s discounted price coz we bought engagement ring there. Did u buy ur ring there before asking for band?

Might be easier to link the cert for rest to see.

It's lab grown decagon! Everything looks good on the cert. How does it look like in-person? I read JP's LGD are free of those common stria issues that lab growns usually have.

Thanks for helping to see. Yup its a lab grown decagon. The diamond looks fine in person and I requested for it to be set. JP just informed me the ring is ready and will be heading down to collect soon.

Hi anyone can comment on the diamond below? There are some random green spots (less bright) on the AGSL, wondering if that is typically okay. Having a bit of buyers remorse, like I dont know if I made the right choice ><

The diamond is lovely with the highest color and clarity grade! How much did you obtain for it?

Close to 4k, just not sure if i could have got a larger carat with a lower spec. Felt a bit pricey.

Since you had that intention of getting a larger carat, you may wish to enquire from JP and from there you can do a price comparison. Just my own opinion which is subjective, I think I would go for Color E or F and Clarity of VS1.

Unless, you are particular about the color and clarity then I will say this diamond is of the best color and clarity (Note: It is very rare to see IF or FL).

I hope that will help to give a sense of direction where you will be heading. :)

Hi all, may I seek your opinion on the following diamond? Is the diamond considered on the pricier side?

Was quoted 7.9k at Jannpaul. It is a Decagon diamond, part of their White series.

Cut: Decagon
Color: F
Clarity: VVS2
Carat: 0.72

Thanks in advance! 🙇‍♂️

The Decagon white series price is about there. The cut is way better compared to the normal 57 facets rounds or SICs. You can also refer to their price guide, https://www.jannpaul.com/diamond-price-guide
