upstairs - 2 round tables and 2 rectangle tables. downstairs around 6 small tables..
Food are served quite fast as some are prepared in advance. Must try the assam laksa and babi pongteh and poh pia.. very good.. They are one of the few nonyas rest that serve pork..

Curious ahh. What are the room rates like for December ah? around 13-16 @_@ And I want to know how much would it cost to take KTM from Johor to Malacca?.. If there isn't any train.. Would take the coach from Singapore or Larkin be cheaper? And which would be faster? Thanks!

phew.. finally back in Spore after a 2D1N at Equatorial Hotel.. stayed at the newly renovated premier room.

as it was my 5th time there.. so settled on those tried and tested food.. weather was really hot there!

first stop, Sun May Hiong pork satay at Jalan Kota Laksamana (ard Jonker Walk area).. they got varieties like pork, intestine, liver, chicken and gizzards.

next up, Hoe Kee chicken rice balls at Jonker walk, followed by Jonker 88 durian chendol.

Nedeje Patiserie mille crepes at Dataran Pahlawan megamall for tea break before heading to Ban Lee Siang satay celup at Jalan Ong Kim Wee for dinner.

on the way back see see look look at the Jonker night market.. bought Mdm Goh's pineapple tarts and a cowboy hat.. had foot massage at megamall and then tabao KFC back for supper.

next day morning had breakfast at Mac.. last time used to go Rong Mao dim sum at Jalan Tukang Besi (ard Jonker Walk area).. but this time legs too tired from the previous day walking..

checked out and had lunch at A&W.. went Jonker Walk again and had wonton mee at an unnamed coffeeshop near the stage area..

walked back and tabao the mille crepe to eat on the return trip to Spore..

sorry no photos taken.. activities were really packed at it was only a 2 day trip..

can't wait to back there again..! ;)

going there mid next month.

can use yours as a guide.

hope that the stall are not closed or not around anymore...

Thanks.

there is no direct KTM from JB to Melaka, nearest KTM station is at Tampin. Taking bus from Larkin of course cheaper, around RM19, from Singapore is around $18 for the cheapest

I managed to extend my leave for another day but I've booked 2 nights at a Malacca hotel. Now thinking of either extending one night in Malacca or should I drive down to JB to stay one night. Is 3 days 2 nights in Malacca sufficient? If I stay one night in Johore, any interesting things to do and where should I stay? Don't want to drive back from Malacca on Sunday night.

Thanks.

Malacca is pretty small, places of tourist interest is all located near each other. It is more than enough for a 2-nights stay in Malacca. If your stay is over weekend, be sure to check out their night market in Jonker.

Personal preference, depends on what you like to do. If I have 4 days 3 nights, I will choose either one of below options:

1). 2 nights KL, 1 night Malacca (Shopping & Makan trip)
2). 2 nights Malacca, 1 night Port Dickson (Makan and Lazy trip)
3). 1 night Genting, 1 night KL, 1 night Malacca (Huat trip)

I went through all the above before.

No JB for me. :)
