Yup, there are several buses in Larkin going to Melaka, Delima Express, KKKL Express, Mayang Sari Express, S&S Express, the list goes on..
Ticket price starts from RM19

Check with you, these buses, stop at the Bus Terminal in Malacca City Central ? Any exact address ? And apart from taking a cab, any buses from the terminal to Jonker / Mahkota area ?

The bus station is called Melaka Sentral. To get to Mahkota area, you can take bus 17 or Panaroma bus, to go to jonker street, you can take panaroma bus as well.

Thanks for the leads. Planning to go in on 25th Dec , aim to reach Larkin by 7.30am. Would it be a issue getting tickets to Malacca on 25th Dec morning at Larkin ? And planned to get the return tickets on 25th when reached Malacca Sentral...

24-26th Dec are peak periods in Melaka. Better get bus tickets and accommodation early. Been there once during such periods and it was orgy!

Thanks, was there last x mas too, but via coach from singapore .on 2nd thoughts, Guess maybe should just go a week earllier to avoid the crowd...

Thanks for all the advice, Just as I am pondering to shift my trip 1 week earlier, got notified of a last min business trip next week , and may return back to the place in late dec.... so no go for Malacca, Anyway really thanks for all the advice, maybe go in Feb after CNY period, for the food

usually people will take either 707 express, Delima express, Malacca Singapore Express or S&S Express. These are the coaches that are well known
