Taobao, must know what you are getting and the cost of the outcome. For new user, i do not recommend taobao. Just buy locally with warranty support. Period.

Honestly, just get invader PC/aftershock if you're new.

Taobao is not as straight forward as u think. I also need to know when to make compromises and identify if it's really more worth it to buy from taobao.

It's straight forward enough if you understand chinese wordings.

Oh I'm not talking about linguistics. I'm referring to the product trade-off with regards to warranty vs savings vs reliability.

For example, we know via stats that CPU is one of the parts which is very unlikely to be faulty. As such, if an individual understands that and accepts the risk that the product might DOA, they might enjoy substantial savings.

But imagine doing this for say....a PSU, at least the good ones, having similar price to Singapore. Landing price I mean. Would it make sense to buy them in taobao then?

For newbies, they won't know any of this. So might as well just buy from aftershock/invader PC if that's the case.

hmm.. don't get overly confuse. you are the one using the PC not others and I would not suggest to build ITX build if you intend to use highend processor and gen 5 m.2. ITX build you need to give extra care on
  1. PSU needs to be SFX or SFX-L (Not cheap)
  2. For super duper compact ITX case, you need to source out SFF GPU (not cheap)
  3. Airflow
  4. heat causes throttling your components with PCIE Gen 5 devices.
  5. ITX often cut lots of features, example, limited fan headers, limited m.2. limited pcie slots.
why pay so much and got to compromise so many features just to save space? Stick to ATX or M-ATX (Smaller build). it will be cheaper.

Impulsive purchase 5090fe with no warranty is already a death sentence for me 🥲

I could’ve been typing this out if I were to stick with pre-build, gpu is still laying inside packaging on my desk 😅 still researching for more info

Kind of regret but I really like the design of it, and it’s the first time I ever spend so much on a part, I can only make do with it instead of selling it at a loss

I’ve already purchased okinos cypress 7 from Amazon which you’ve recommended because it was the last unit in stock but after placing the order I went to check and somehow there is still stock for it haha guess my impulsiveness got me into trouble,

Th rest of the build will be bought locally, SLS TP price looks the most attractive!

I have to agree with this. If this is your first build, go easier on yourself. Try ATX or even mATX for a start. Unless you really really want an ITX build, and you are prepared for the challenges it entails.
Hand itchy found both 2.1 and 2.5 at carousell, will definitely get 2.1 if I want to challenge myself. It’s additional expenses to get custom cable for neater management that’s stopping me from losing my sanity again, not forgetting SF parts are more expensive

You won't go wrong with this case. though some of the feature set are similar to other cases. The main point is.. the wood finishing is incredibliy far more polish than other wood touch finish chassis.
Too bad I am not able to start the review sonner, but look at the finish. It just put the rest into shame, when they just strip some wood on their case without proper finishing.

Whats your planned build now like?
Tbh, I still can't decide if I should stick to ATX build or yolo try ITX, even if ATX I will mount below the desk, but the compact build looks nice, but airflow and thermals might not be ideal

Pardon me ya.. I think you didnt' pay attention on my past comment. I have not reviewed this yet.. as mentioned, I only open up to see the case physically and have passed to another reviewer first as I have no time to review it yet. Based on my experience. This case will have rock solid airflow, though is a new company, but they did it correctly. Often new company who are serious about their production, their virgin products will be of well build. Anyway you purchased the case, so explore the options you have :p
