ar.. my content is X870 not the X870E version of tomahawk... to me is still overkill lol.. as for m.2 Gen 5, most default m.2 heatsink are not cut out to take the heat. except for X870E-E strix and the X870E Carbon. once Gen 5 m.2 heat up after 73°C ~ 74°C it will start to throttle. Video editing also don't need Gen 5.. Gen 4 more than sufficient. I am using Seagate both Firecuda 530 and 520, which are not top notch in speed but is more then sufficient. As for the wood finish.. it's just me. I have done wood finishing before and pretty particular on the finishing.

Of course the Lancool 217 has good airflow. As you have 2 x 170mm fans at the front for intake of air. but when I remove my unit, I am unhappy with the wood finish, just like the Fractal North.. when I look at how the wood are treated with top coated. I shake my head. As for Cypress 7 from Okinos, when I open it before passing it to another reviewer (I let him do the review as I am pack with other content).. the finishing is uniform and the walnut grains solid. I am waiting for the case to return to me for review :p
Sample and look at the walnut.. so beautifully done. the process, sand down > cealer x 2 layers > sand down higher grit sand paper > cealer x 1 layers > sand down lightly or wet sand > dry > follow by top coat x 2 layers

now compare to Lian Li 217. observe the panel and the finish.. very rough, did sanding but lower grit sand paper > cealer 1 layer > sand down > top coat 2 layer.

For AIOs, most are using Asetek Gen 8th pump. As why I recommended you the two liquid AIO. 1st the LCD can be removed. if AIO died. you still can use the LCD panel. 2nd the application are more responsive, use lesser background process as the processor is on the LCD itself. 3rd both liquid AIOs perform well on AM5 9950X or 9950X3D. Anyway both processor dont run hot at all as compared to the 7000 series.
well I personally like the SAMA Q70 the LCD is super big lol.. ok example

if you want to know how it performs, I have used a hotter chip 7950X with PBO settings. no aircon and result solid 82°C if I change it out.. easily 78°C with PBO settings

Though am also doing Lian Li products, but honestly compared to the rest of the liquid AIO with LCD, I will go for the two brands as mentioned above. I have not done the content for ThermalRight Hyper Vision 360 but I have tested it on a friend's build 9950X. I like the screen, it's big. Anyway if you still want Lian Li, the only liquid AIO which impress me most is the Lian Li Galahad II LITE <-- this cooler is a little devil in disguise but without LCD.

Wow thanks for the recommendations sir, just finished watching. I like the glass panel of cypress7 can swing out and it’s cheaper than LC217, the sama q70 quite unique for the detachable screen can put on desk if the pc is put on the floor but want to see statistics. Wah with more recommendations by all gurus here I’m spoilt for choices. Now I a bit sot feel like doing white build 🫣

You are most welcome, I would suggest to stay with black build. In Singapore weather, even if you have aircon on 24/7, your white pieces will become yellowish in no time..

Why is that so? Is it due to warranty or? CPU and mobo from Taobao safe? Compare the price to sg can save $250! Seller is Cheng Xin Ke Ji Shi Ti Store

if buyed FE, can try this build for the looks!

This is a phenomenal case.. I am using one right now and I can vouch for the engineered excellence.

Make sure to buy it from the right place though. There were apparently some disputes among the then-owners/partners. Hence, there are now 2 sites to get them from.. and one is better than the other.

Wow so compact but looks quite complicated for someone that never build pc before , I go calculate how much the total parts cost first 😅

hi, may I know or could you hint me which site you got it from? I assume it’s without the ‘works’ ? But for another website with trademark, all the case sold out 🤔 and did you 3D print the fan adapter yourself?

both web sold out

Bingo. You can find out more about their differences and details on the internet.

They are usually sold out as they are boutique case brands operating on a smaller scale compared to the big brands that manufacture multiple types of computer components etc. When they do restock on the rare occasion, they also sell out quick.

By "fan adapter", I think you meant the extra 3D printed fan brackets that aid with airflow. I have explored those options but have yet to incorporate them in my build. Will find some time soon ;)
ITX not for everyone. I suggest you stick to ATX first.
I have to agree with this. If this is your first build, go easier on yourself. Try ATX or even mATX for a start. Unless you really really want an ITX build, and you are prepared for the challenges it entails.

Cuz for PSU you have never encounter PSU from China explode before.
Unlike myself encounter quite a lot cuz some Carousell seller buy
PC from Taobao than sell to others.

Casing wise issue is the quality issue have encounter some quite sharp.
Cut my finger when I was trying to lift or put it back properly.
The glass also not durable have some crack if you put a lot of pressure.

For you, you only buy for your family so long cheap can already.
For me since in service center line if we use cheap.
People will complain like Aftershock.

I think if got chance you come my workshop see for yourself.
China PSU and casing usually are recycled as well as they have 0 secondhand value.
It will be worse than brands like Tecware at least Tecware can sell.

Sorry for MIA I was in shock after getting roasted 😔

Samsung 990 pro 2tb - $242 OR crucia T700 gen5 2tb - $368 (TP)

9950x3d + tomahawk x870e - $1607 OR x870 ($1604) (TP)
I would prefer mobo without plastic parts

G.skill trident z5 Neo rgb amd expo 64gb 6000mhz cl32 - $378 (TP) OR
g.skill trident z5 Neo black 6000mhz cl30 - $393 (shopee)

Lian Li edge 1300w - $315 (shopee/TP) OR is 1000w enough?

Lian Li 217 black - $178 (shopee)

Lian Li Galahad ll lcd aio 360 - $300 (TP)

I wouldn’t mind a white build if any gurus find my part picks not worth the price 🙏

9950x3d + tomahawk x870e - $1607 OR x870 ($1604) (TP)

Not sure why you need 9950X3D unless you are doing editing.
9800X3D with Gigabyte X870E Aorus Master $1509 will be better option.
Get a better board for better VRM/Power delivery as well as memory stability.

Samsung 990 pro 2tb - $258
G.Skill Trident Z Neo RGB AMD-6000 64GB - $349
Locally to my understanding the lower CL one don't have.

Gigabyte RTX 5080 Aorus Master - $2329

PSU wise don't get Lian Li encounter a few got issue.
Corsair RM1000X - $296

Lian Li 217 black - $178 (shopee)

Lian Li Galahad ll lcd aio 360 - $300 (TP)

https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cooling/lian-li-galahad-ii-360-lcd-aio-cooler-review

Not the best AIO

CORSAIR NAUTILUS 360 RS ARGB - $189

If you want to go all out this would be best option.
I recently did one similar one but using Fractual Design North case.
Cannot post photo here cuz is one of my user rig.

Yes OEM for Corsair some here is concern about warranty.
Like I shared PSU can fail or blow, if it blows can you claim warranty?
Shipping isn't cheap also I recently ship a motherboard I brought from US.
Cost me $200 just to ship the mobo, now waiting for repair status.
Have spend another $200 to get it back.
