Yes, I have encountered disco lighting condition once during boot up. I managed to resolve it by removing a program (Samsung Laser Printer software - Smart Panel) from booting during start up using msconfig.

I don't have that program. :s11: No idea what's the cause. Everytime that happens i just plug out and USB and reconnect. =:p

Do you have any other USB devices plug into your rig? Like webcam, printers etc. I do step by step troubleshooting and found out a few things about the possible cause of the problem. Just to side track a bit, during the troubleshooting process, I actually solved another problem with my audio hardware acceleration setting always default to Basic no matter how I change the setting. I discovered that after installing my webcam, that will screw up my audio settings for my sound card (Prelude 7.1). By the way, did you install the razer driver for your lycosa? I'm not using the driver now.

Yeah i'm using Lycosa drivers. Why not? Basically my USB right now only has printer, Lachesis, Lycosa. My friend has a similar problem as well, but he only has mouse and keyboard connected via USB. Sometimes during all that flickering my ALT button doesn't work, so that's irritating during dota.

You can try to uninstall the driver and see if your lycosa still works fine and whether the flickering problem goes again. Its really trial and error as different users are facing different issues. Hopefully razer can identify what's causing the the issues and come out with a firmware/driver update. Fortunately, my keyboard is working well even without the driver installation. :)

Nope, no software from razer in my rig at all. My lycosa and cooperhead just plug and play. The software does provide additional functionality such as key programming (macros) and some other settings. But I'm doing fine without those. Everything works as intended out of the box.
