Just got my razer premium card, only took 3 days to deliver. Also it comes in a box this time, which includes a leather cardholder (with razer logo). Big surprise to me, was not expecting it.

Card is slightly thinner than the standard card, in fact the chip is somewhat protruding at the back of the card. The green border is also gone, just a pure black card with a white razer logo which... glows I suppose. I actually like the green border, will miss it. Quality wise... it still has lots of micro scratches like the standard card. The standard card might actually be better quality hmmm...

Sadly, I have issue activating it with the provided QR code. Not sure if its because my standard card is still working or they provided me the wrong activation code. Hopefully support can assist =(

Different digit, the old card will get deactivated. Date and CVV also different, basically a brand new card. I actually got a big issue with this now, as I was not expecting this.

I finally got my premium card activated after the support team gave me a new activation code. But then, its new details so now I have to go thru some pending orders and cancel them, so I can update the payment method, then reorder again... the worst part, the new card fail the visa authorization. So I got no card to use now LOL. Regret getting the premium card man... the standard card was so good to me >_< Feelsbad, all I wanted was the LED, not this headache

Fun fact: If I use the old card details to make payment, Razer Pay actually prompt if I want to authorize the payment amount, but it will fail to pay. However, if I use the new card, it just simply fail during authorization "Something went wrong. Contact Support". Well... beta, beta... anyone having the same issue? Or am I the only suay one? Back and forth email with support team now =(

Razer’s a joke. No wonder they didn’t managed to get a digital banking license.

Razer Support say they will escalate to expert team, but I dunno whether they truly can solve it. I was able to use the physical card for contactless payment though, so thankfully I can test if the card does glow. I think they give me the wrong CVV code, cause Google Pay is asking me to verify my CVV which keeps failing. Lol... insert sad, smiling, crying, laughing face here.

Now, the white razer logo does glow and its actually quite bright so you can still see the white logo glowing green when you tap in the MRT station, under all the bright lights. In darker lightnings, boy... the logo glows like the hulk is here. For a moment, I was confused if the green light was from the terminal or my card.

Then there's the bad thing. (sry, i'm picky) I was expecting the logo to pulse or glow slowly from the middle out. But instead, it just instantly glows like a on/off light. (Kinda like there's a overhead light shining down, and you just waving your hand in and out) When the terminal is providing power to the card (for the chip to work), the logo glows and once you move the card away, the glow immediately vanish. So pretty much, you only see the glow for 1~2 seconds and you must look out for it. If you don't look out for it, you won't even notice / remember that you have a glowing card.

If you move your card too fast away from the terminal, like how you do fast tap at the MRT gantry. Then the card might not even glow, that's what happen to me. Got to place it nicely, watch it glow then happily walk thru the gantry. That's the Razer Way~

Fun gimmick I suppose, but now I'm a little worried how to cancel the annual card after a year as I might not want to pay $50 for this. Unless they have a better card (maybe one that glows across the entire card *wink wink*). But if each time i upgrade/downgrade, my card number changes... I'm not particularly sure I want that. Makes my life difficult only.
