Re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

Different promotion at different time. Last Sitex 2013 is 7 mths waive but this time never heard any thing. Hope to see 7 mths or even 8 mths waive. More months waive the better.

Beside 7 mths waive, there is still 100 buck handset free is very very good deal liao if just a call in only .

I called their retention department to squeeze out their best offer. Otherwise, they will just give you 5 months free subscription for 200 mbps without waiver of installation and registration fees.

For background info, I got a mailer that says I will enjoy up to 5 months free subscription and $100 handset discount when I re-contract on Fibre.

You can actually call 1688, speak to an operator and ask them to transfer you to retention department.

Another way is to call 62217277 (Sales) and ask whoever to transfer you to retention department.

Initially, the retention department did not offer the $100 handset discount. At most is 7 months free subscription plus waiver of $90 installation. But I managed to include the $100 handset discount because the mailer says so.

• Waiver of $90 installation charge
• Must pay $53.50 registration fee

I'm not a heavy user so 200mbps is an overkill for now. However, I'm not sure if 15mbps is sustainable in the next year.

Any advice?

Second choice for me

Something for you to consider:
1) is your copper telephone line in good working condition (disconnection problem)
2) is your modem/router getting old and need to be replaced soon
3) the additional cost of the analog phone line
4) number of people using the internet at your house (higher speed 15m vs 200m)

I changed from adsl to fiber and i was glad i made the choice.

Actually my situation is a bit special as i just move in and it happens that the previous owner is the person who doesnt care any of these matters . The surrounding neighborhood already have TP installation.

mine expiring next week 30 may. but cannot find any promotion for m1 or starhub now. Sian, gotta pay normal price for 1 month to wait for the Jun IT whatever fair

Now M1 is 3 mths waive.

300M got 3 mths now but I guess PC show will have better offer for both 200and 300M.

Honestly anything > 300Mbps is only for local speed. For Hong Kong I guess maximum is ~250Mbps and speed vary from time to time. Minimum speed for my home to HK is 160Mbps and for China minimum is 120Mbps. I think quite fast and stable.

Guess the logical thing to do is to pay a bit to get subscription period to aline with IT shows. Consumers very charm.
