Re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

tats weird. thought shorter contract is more xpensive. those on 2-yr kind of ripped off then. wat r they suppose to do with tat sim card w/o dongle ?

They know they stand to lose us as customers if they can't offer us better rate.
Buy usb dongle modem for that sim card.

USB dongle costs from 60SGD to 200+SGD depending on size and capability of the dongle.

IF you want to try out, get the pre-paid 3G mobile broadband bundle from starhub, think they bundle with 3G modem for cheap.

Subscription is already factored in, provided of course you do not exceed limit. Starhub 3.6mbps huawei e1550 with 2mbps prepaid bundle $68. Prepaid card give/sell away if you want.

For what lei. Not like most of the time can exceed 3mbps also...
The only benefit is hsupa. But as again, bundled plan usually low plan.

I called 1688 at 4pm on Thurs.

Checked with CSO if i am eligible for re-contract.
She said yes.
I said in that case, pls transfer me to retention dept.
She ask why.
I said I want to ask what plans is avail.
CSO said no problem, she can help.
Ok, so I ask her about 10mbps 1yr contract at $23.40
She said 'oh, i have to transfer you to customer retension dept.'.
I'm thinking 'Duh!! yeah, that's what i ask earlier'. But I just said, 'ok'.
Customer retention staff right away offered me the plan,
and said someone will call me to arrange delivery.

Same day at 8pm, Singtel called to confirm delivery of modem
and activation within 7days.

I am eligible to re-contract for 10 mbps singnet plan too.

If i re-contracct, shall I get the new model from SingTel since i am already using the 2WIRE (ADSL2+ Integrated Wireless Modem) which is working fine for me since day one. What is the new modem and any benefit is i replace it with my existing one? Do i need to re-configure setting again?

Yesterday I called 1688. The sales dept was trying to transfer the call to the retention dept... waited about 40mins (until my batt HP going to flat haha.. )still cannot get through... after that they say will call me back.

This morning they just called me... and will deliver the wireless modem this coming sat... cannot wait aahhh...
