Me too. So is 15 Mbps a better choice over the 10 Mbps by Singtel?

Singtel - $59.9/mth for $15Mbps
M1 - $42.9/mth for $15 Mbps
StarHub - $44.94/mth for 16Mbps + Free homephone line

Currently I'm paying for a singtel homephone line separately. How's the quality of the SH homephone line and are calls free?

Which is best in term of home BB performance - Red, Orange or Green?

Thanks

:D

all are crap..

M1 internet are rumored to be on starhub backbone.

Starhub free homeline = digital voice home.. only good if u are not torrenting, once torrent, u can expect ppl can't hear u..or u can't hear the other party.

i will not pay more than $32.90 for my 8mbps plan.. since fibre has already launch, adsl line should be cheaper instead of more expensive!

m1 cable is running on starhub cable backbone/infra.

as for comparing fibre and adsl/cable.

after all its only fibre from your point to the exchange.
anything above i think between isp and oversea are still common. if u know what i mean.

the only diff i see is internet will use the common infrastructure instead compare to using cable point for starhub and telephone for singnet.

Hahhaa. Another guy. Just call them and tell them your contract end already and say you were told to ask her to transfer you to the Retention Department. If she smart, she will check, if she tell you your contract still on, just said you didn't notice that and ask if there's any promotion right now as you heard from friends saying that there's this $23 plan.

Then hope she would, this is the place where i ended the call with her and got transferred, and everything else was self-explanatory.

If she doesn't know/act blur, hang up and call again. This time don't talk and insist she transfer you to the Retention Department. If she don't, just request her to get her manager to assist you.

BTW, my contract expires in April, but am recontracted now.

I'm able to get them to the Retention Dept even if my contract is only 1st month. What's so hard to pressure the CSO and insist on your choice of action? But in the end of course i won't have anything to talk to the Retention Dept :s12:

I am eligible for recontract, currently on ADSL 6Mbps. So I called Singtel for fiber plan..they only offer me the express50 at $59++, I told them I only want broadband..no need mio or digital phone line and asked about express30 I heard being offered to some forummer here. They told me no more.
The stupid thing is the CSO told me even if I change to fiber I still have to maintain my adsl phone number line coz its part of the package...what the f%#@

So I guess I might subscribe to M1.

BTW my contract end in 3 months.

Just called up and requested for a re-direct to retention dept.

The retention dept did ask about how I get to know the offer, and when I asked about the homeline rebate, she said it no longer available, and the modem is part of package, cannot opt out (duh).

Sales will followup with a call latest by tml to confirm modem collection and activation.

Completed entire conversation (including waiting) in 5 min. IMO dun bother to explain much to the frontdesk CSO, just request for a re-direction to retention dept straight.

My 8Mbps $37/mth expired one week ago. An hour ago, just re-contract for 10Mbps :s12: Still stay with ADSL, Opennet not available yet.
Don't want to wait for coming March IT Shows promotions.

mine is still 8MB ... dun feel like recontract already, just tahan until fibre ready in 2012.

I was having 8Mbps for $37/mth and I just re-contract for 10Mbps plan a few hours ago and the 10Mbps will be activated on Feb 9th after 5 pm. I find the 10Mbps price plan a good deal for me. What is holding you for re-contract or upgrade to 10Mbps?
Currently, what are you paying for 8Mbps monthly?

WOW the $23 offer still on!!! Just recontracted!

So just call 1688, call for broadband. The CSO may or may not transfer you to retention dept, so ask to transfer to that!

Next bull**** a bit about contract ending soon, no good offers... unless they have a better deal?

At this stage the person will tell u of this plan ("currently we have this offer 10mbps at $23.46") and then u can sign up.

Now just need to wait 5 more days for delivery + service

To those on the 23 bucks 10mbps offer, can I check if you need to pay for the phone line?

I am on mio home bundle and contract ending in april. Intend to go for separate services (bb, phone). If still need to pay for phone line then LPPL liao. M1 bb need to pay for phone line as well?

Appreciate feedback. Thanks

Singtel, yes you need a phone line.

M1? Yes too, you need Singtel phone line for ADSL bb. Cable/fibre i think no need.

Hi,
You need to pay the phone line, but they will rebate you $10/ month telephone line for the 1 year $23/month contract! this will virtually offest the phone line bill, so in the end like not pay the phone line, not sure about now.
