Re-contract Singnet 10 Mbps?

For those who have already gotten the contract, what is the modem that you guys get?

I've got mine (2wire 5012nv) but then there are no manuals in the box whatsoever, can't seem to find the specs online as well... How do I set it up then?

I also received the modem 5012 with no manual inside, but it's easy to configure. The wireless SSID and WEP key is written on the modem. Then just go to your browser and enter 192.168.1.254 and enter your userid and password.

I in same situation as you in that the contract under my father's name and CSO won't transfer me to retention department. They asking my father to talk direct but then my dad not in town. And my contract ended last September already.

For those who intent to re-contract SingNet 10Mbps with MacBook Air, you can only upgrade the ram only. If you opt to have the usb modem, SingNet will give you Huawei E153. Not sure if EPICenter will allow you to upgrade to MacBook Air with 128GB ssd?

just tell them you are your father's child and doing the recontract on his behalf, then just provide your father's particulars for them to confirm... i.e. nric no., name, etc...

i do that all the time to help my folks recontract their stuff...

Happened to me too. The CSO said i need to get my Dad to call in but i told him it's silly as my Dad is not sure of the Broadband plan as i'm the user. I said i'm his son and i can provide u all his particulars. He just said not possible. End up i just called again the next day and "pretend" im my Dad. Question solved.

they just replied the email i sent them a while ago, telling mi to wait as they let the relevant department handle it. will contact mi soon. =D i think got chance.

Last thursday I sent my request on this plan using singnet inquiry webpage and got reply from their CCO this morning. inside email stated "we cab offer you a SingNet broadband recontract @ 10mbps $23.45 per month, 1 year contract. Free wireless modem included. After 1 year, price plan will revert to $46.90 per month.

However, we regret to inform you that the $10 bill rebate for home telephone line has already ended."

I think i will go accept this offer ^^
