Thanks to this thread i managed to get the deal as well. :D 23 dollars for 10mbps! I called today and the sales department confirmed and call me 1 hr later and sending the modem over on tuesday. Just to check with you all, which modem is it and is it difficult to set up? And is the coverage good? The white mio box i have was really bad and i had to use back to the original black wireless modem they gave me years ago.

I got the AZtech black wireless modem for my 15 Mbps plan. The installation is very straightforward.

Wohoo... Wrote an email to complain (on my problems - posted in previous posts) via Singtel feedback and immediately they will come down later at noon to replace my current black 2wire...

Dont know which model they will give though... Hahaa...

Just to add, kudos to Singtel, because i re-locate twice within 6months and they waived off on both occasions... :)

For those who recontract, better check your bill carefully. Stinktel is very screwed up in this area and I had to spend 30mins on phone explaining why the billing is wrong etc. I ended up paying 3 times over the amount that I paid previously and now can only hope for the right amount to be credited back in the next bill. Else have to call n kpkb again next month. I have a feeling stinktel does this on purpose since I have never encounter such a problem when I recontract my mobile n previous broadband services with them.

I was charged $81.81(before GST) for 10Mbps while I am actually recontracted for 15Mbps plan. Singtel is really solid, I have to call them tomorrow, siao!:(:(:(

Did you run any speedtest? After changing to 15Mbps plan, the test always showed that the download speed will goes up to 17Mbps but eventually settle down at around 13Mbps, is it correct?

For those who have taken the promo, heres a few question

If take $28.9 plan got installation/activation fee?
Free new modem is up to the CSO to randomly give?
Date of activation? is it directly after they confirm over the phone or must wait? If wait, is it because got installation of hardware or what?

NO
Free new modem is up to the CSO to randomly give?
ASK FOR IT
Date of activation?
UP TO U TO SET IT
Is it directly after they confirm over the phone or must wait?
WAIT FOR ANOTHER SCO TO CALL YOU(ABT 1~2 DAYS)
If wait, is it because got installation of hardware or what?
SELF INSTALL THEY DONT PROVIDE INSTALLATION..!!

your plan expiring 24 months or up for recontract 21 months? In either way you can can try to call if there is a few days left and ask them about recontract. They will offer you the plan and only take effect on the date you can recontract (if it is 21 months). But if yours is over 21 months then not an issue.

yes, you can call them.
Even your contract expired the price is still the same as the contracted price u paid for. There will be no revert to whatever higher charges(i'm having the same like you so i had called already to cfm this)
As and when to start the new plan, you can discuss with the CSO.
But when you call to ask for this promo, normal 1688 dont offer u. U have to ask to tok to the retention dept, CSO.
:D
