It depends on the other side as well. I am just showing two good ones.

But the results to the two China telecom servers mentioned by Firesong are very bad (very slow upload) -- that will cause issues for Wechat Video call.

BTW, your results to the two China Telecom servers are quite a bit better than mine. My results are very bad with lots of packet loss and sometimes I can not even finish the test for Server: China Telecom - Shanghai (id = 3633)

my test for Server: China Telecom - Shanghai (id = 3633) also failed.
It says
[error] Error: [0] Cannot open socket
[error] Latency test failed

The script in OP works, unfortunately speedtest cli couldn't output Mbps to csv.

Machine readable formats (csv, tsv, json, jsonl, json-pretty) use bytes as the unit of measure with max precision

From my tests to China SpeedTest servers from my SIngtel service, none of the China Telecom servers are good, all are pretty bad. The China Mobile and China Unicom are better. Yet China Telecom is the best broadband ISP in China, followed by China Unicom and then China Mobile.

MyRepublic

MyRepublic也是当地一大本土运营商，通常被用来解锁新区流媒体的用途。但是MyRepublic没有任何和国内御三家的互联，所以最好使用移动CMI或者CN2中转。

中国电信163、中国联通169网络走NTT，移动走新加坡EIE至StarHub再转MyRepublic。

No wonder why I feel wechat call connection quite bad after switching to MyRepublic.
Probably need to consider Singtel for better connection to China.

I am using Singtel (ONT user) and Wechat Video Call to China is also not very good. Wechat Voice Call is okay.

But from the reports indeed MyRepublic and Viewquest have worse connection to China compared to Singtel (reports of issues with Taobao, etc).

But take note Singtel may have worse international latency to many other places compared to MyRepublic, especically if you are into gaming.

And the worst thing about Singtel 1Gbps plan now is that they will issue uou the ONR and yet they have stopped accepting the request to bridge the ONR. Therefore you will have to use the Singtel ONR as the main router. Your own router have to be in AP mode (and lost many functions); or you have to live with Double NAT situation if you still want to use router mode for your own router.

So think thrice before switching to Singtel.

Yes, latency for game(jp, us servers) actually quite good with MyRepublic.
