Running my rig @1.3V / 5Ghz 24/7 using the h115i. Temps are mid 30's at idle, and 70C max underload. Would whole-heartedly recommend the h115i, as it performs better that my previous custom loop.

Nice temps,.. I have to wait till ** is over so that I can get my study area renovated. My biggest problem is that the side intake is blocked by the wall in this tiny area I'm having to work with. Not only that my monitor cant even sit flush against the wall as I don't have the space so I've got the monitor at a slight angle to avoid putting my PC on the floor!

What hardware are you running?

My AIO is the Gigabyte Aorus liquid cooler 360 which does look amazing. Installation was not difficult but there are a fair amount of cables due to the fans and ARGB.

The good

1. Looks great and the LCD display is customisable (has 3 presets that you can play with. You can also load up your own custom images BUT can not display data - temp or speed if using custom images). Hope they improve on this over time.
2. My CPU (Ryzen 9 3950X idles between 50-60 (yes it fluctuates about 10 degrees)
3. While running games it does tend to run between 78-81 degrees. From what I'm told this is not too bad considering the specs.

The not so good

1. I'm having a slight issue that the AIO is not functioning when I power up the PC. This does not happen often but I've seen it a few times now and hope its only a software bug that can be ironed out.
2. A little noisy for my liking. May consider custom cooling in the coming months.
3. As everyone keeps on reminding me AIO's have additional parts and therefore more things that can go wrong (pump, radiator, fans & liquid). But you have to remember that these units are sealed and do not require maintenance. Well at least for the warranty period!

Summary

1. Am I happy? Yes as I do like the looks and performance I've been getting.
2. Will I make changes? May look into custom cooling but not for a few months (maybe 1/2 a year).
3. Will I swap it for an air cooler? No, don't feel the need to. I have a slight problem that I need to be aware of right now. Will update on the progress over the coming weeks months if there is a fix - so far from what I've searched online there isn't one. May need to RMA if I keep seeing this.

Do take note my airflow isn't the best as I'm using a Lian Li Razer case which has a tempered glass front panel but I do have air intake setup on the side and bottom (3 fans each).

Hope this gives some guidance when looking at AIO coolers

Haha an OC 3700X. Runs rather hot when transcoding even with a NHD15. Hence thinking of an AIO.

Wait a min, NHD15's cooling performance is on par or even better than most AIO. So I doubt changing to AIO will help much in your case unless you go for custom water cooling route.

Btw,what idle and loaded temp you are looking at for your OC 3700X?

Perhaps you would want to look at your overall case airflow instead like pulling in more fresh air to move the heat away from CPU area.

Idle is around 45-50 depending on the time of the day. Loaded is closer to 80. Hmmm ok I'd try that first!

Ryzen underload at 80c is considered normal, on Ryzen9 it can go to 99c with AIO. Did a lot of test with Prime95, once the heat build-up it will saturate the best AIO... plus the multi chiplets arrangement of the Ryzen9 the heat is not evenly distributed make it very hard to cool these high TDP cpu.

You mean the Arctic Liquid Freezer II 240 cooler? If requester wanted RGB or ARGB, can ignore below.

I can only say about the 280 series. This unit is a true performer with no cable mess, just one connector to do it's wonder.
However, you will need to order this overseas as Singapore do not carry it. (I wonder why) The price did went up due to overwhelming reviews this year and shortage at the moment.
Please ensure you have enough space as the radiator is thick and with the original fans, it's at 57mm at height. (H: 30mm Radiator, H: 27mm fan)

I can't talk much about Ryzen cpu but it does wonders on my Intel i5 9600K @4.2Ghz . In a non-aircon room with just room temperature averaging at 32 to 34 degrees :

Idle -33 to 35 degrees (most of the time hover between 33 to 34)
Full Load after 4 hours - 69 to 79 degrees (tested a couple of times)

Tested on NZXT Kraken X62 or Corsair Hydro Series H115i

Idle - 35 to 37 degrees
Full load after 4 hours - 77 - 86 (tested a few times an result base on avg)

Corsair
Idle - 36 to 39 degrees
Full load after 4 hours - 79 - 89 (tested a few times an result base on avg)

For 4.2Ghz on a 6-core CPU i think you can just go with a regular air cooler, certainly don’t need to go with a 280 AIO unless you want to torture test it for 4 hours all the time

Is budget AIO options like ID cooling / deepcool castle 240 any good?

Looking to add two top exhaust fans (rgb ones) but my choice fans are either oos or too exp.. considering to just get an AIO since using stock CPU cooler anyway
