Went to Taiwan last week, I thought can take their trains explore etc. but I was wrong, the train to Shifen was jam packed & weather is so hot...I'm glad I hired a Driver with big Toyota Sienna...very comfy.

Mark is very friendly & not pushy...he don't request his customer to buy things from certain shops etc.

I'm paying back what I've learn from HWZ Taiwan sub forum...hence sharing my Driver details here.

taipei to taichung railway station if drive is abt 2+ hrs to 3 ..
taichung railway station to cingjing is about 3hrs
total should be 5+ hours ba ...

Ask him to recommend the sequence and places to go..

just used a driver from his coy for taichung 2 days (charged me 3500TWD/ Day for 2 person)

3 of us (all adult) just returned from Taiwan on mid May. My driver 小郭 has taken care of us very well, plus his rate is very competitive (low but not lowest). He help to book hotel without taking kickback, and of course we reward him with fat tips in return.
