Just came back from Taiwan on Monday . My driver was quite good .
He is a young chap from taipei , drives Volkswagen 7 seater . He has been fetching Singapore tourists for past 3 years so he know our local taste very well. The hotels he recommend for my family of 7 were all very good .
Our 7 days tour around Cingjing , hualien , Taichung , yi lan , jiufen , taipei was enjoyable . Mt hehuanshan was very fogging but due to his expertise on the road , we were able to get to hualien easily . Those winding roads was very dangerous at Taroko gorge but we fully trust our driver . He also recommend restaurants which we enjoy the food very much . We are engage our same driver for our sept holiday trip again.

Anyone has experience for booking a same driver for 7 days 9 person mini van?

We booked our own accommodation and the agency asked us to book an extra room for the driver. For outskirt places like Xitou forest and Cingjing farm, it is reasonable. but for main cities, Kaoshiung Tainan Taichung, the fees should cover it?

Guys, if you are going to Taipei and decided to book a driver(Toyota wish) to drive around Taipei or the Taipei to Tainan, you can try to book Jason +886 988 090 976.
I highly recommend Jason as he is very friendly and thoughtful person. The rate is very reasonable. He even going extra mile by treating us some local food. I was very pleased with his service.

Can I check what is the range for daily rates on a 9 seaters? I contacted a Taichung Wish driver who is recommending his friend with a bigger car at 6500NT/day and we did not even fix the itinerary!

Thanks for the advice. we have decided to go with it as we have to use a mini bus instead (20 seater) and with the luggage, a 9 seater wouldn't be enough. Price is higher per day and the same driver stick with us for the whole 7 days. fees will include his lodging/food/insurance/parking/toll

9 seater range is about 5k-6.5k NT per day

My relative book his service for taichung (2nights), cingjing(1night), Taipei(4nights),yilan(1night) plus airport 2 ways , 8 ppl total nt50,500

Went to Taichung urgently as plans got cancelled last minute and this guy was not only very hospitable throughout the entire day, he made it out of his schedule to bring us around quite a few places.

Apparently he can help to arrange plans for wherever you are depending upon your needs (either free or easy or he bring around based on what he thinks will be good for you), whether it be Taipei, Taichung, KS.

Based on comments, seems even cheaper than the rest.

Damn nice guy, clients relatively mostly all Singaporean also. Tell him recommended by Lee and you should be settled

i highly recommended driver Mr Chin because we spend a lot of money for traveling,we must get a fantastic tour guide to take us around.He jokes along the way and good explaination of the sighseeing places.He never dropped us alone in the sighseeing places.He also a very good photographeras he guide us where to get the good views.He help us to take photos and sent to us via whatsapp and even video.He posted our photos and vedio to FB and my friends admired our trip and decided to book him for their coming trip in taiwan.i can't express every details here but go his FB then you will find out more.

I want to recommend an awesome taxi driver/tour guide i met during my last trip to taiwan...

I went to taiwan in March.. hoping to see cherry blossoms.. although we were there a few weeks before the full bloom..

this taxi driver/tour guide actually took the effort to bring us to the various places where we get to see the cherry blossoms at that time...

as we travelled... he would tell us more about the places we pass by and show us the popular landmarks in taipei...
we looked forward to breakfast every morning as he would take us to the traditional breakfast stalls where the locals frequent and they food was delicious...
When he alighted us at a location for us to walk around... we came back to delicious hot steaming pao and soya milk that he bought for us.. he said that they were very delicious and popular in that area... we were so touched...

when it drizzled.. he went to purchase ponchos and bottled water for us so that we do not get drenched or thirsty... so thoughtful of him...

when we went to the beAch... he took the effort to pick several pretty seashells for us to take home as momentos...

As avid photographers... he brought us to places where we can get the best views... he stops by the side of the road randomly throughout the journey and wow! we were mesmerised by the views he showed us.... he even compromised his own safety to retrieve a prop from across the drain so that we can take photos with it...

he does tours all over taiwan and we can be assured that he will be very thoughtful and attentive throughout your journey with him!
