If you don't mind slightly older models can check out the clearance section from xtremesolutions at SLS. They usually have some ducky ONE full size and TKL which comes with cherry switches but I'm not sure if they have it in red

Wants to try a smaller footprint wireless kb, for casual gaming, surfing, or media, not for work.

shortlisted between keychron k2 and rk 71, don't want expensive kb as it will only be used outside of work and sparsely.

Between
Keychron K2v2 - ship direct from keychron - 94sgd , (pre order from local retailer bfcm 80sgd)
Rk 71 - from lazada / shopee - about 60sgd

any advice or user feedback on which to get?

Is it taller than ducky shine 3? Tried those 1inch palm rest before, couldn't stand it, and threw away liao....

Anyway hooted k2, F-keys row are kinda nice to have for the games I'm playing, quick save and quick load is needed for noobs like me

Hi guys, i bought a Bluetooth ganss keybaord gs87d from taobao and it was working fine for about a week.

I then changed to another keybaord for about another week. Now when I plug in the ganns keyboard it is not recognized and only the caps and mum lock light will blink. Any idea if it's salvageable?

Keychron K2 alum brown just arrived, are there ways to remap and swap the top right del and light key? This layout is quite bad considering most people would use the del key more often than the light button.

Gateron brown feels less tactile than the ducky cherry MX brown that I'm using, yea probably won't see myself using this for daily work/ typing, more for games and surfing since it's easier to bottom out and make less noise. As for wrist rest, the k2 height felt the same as ducky shine 3 that I'm used to, and don't intend to get one either for k2.

Thinking of buying one from Taobao for like $42~ (no keycaps no switch, before shipping), then plug those outemu switches inside. Then buy some nice pinkish keycaps to plug on, and give it as a gift to my fiancee for her to use in office.

Anyone using Razer huntsman TE?

I'm all along corsair KB user. Heard alot of negative feedback of razer stuffs previously. Did my research to change KB for FPS gaming. I prefer to have volume wheel for easy volume access but due to my desk getting smaller, maybe its time for tkl keyboard.

Huntsman TE

Pros:
- Doubleshot PBT keycaps
- Standard layout
- TKL
- Optical switches
- Non gamer fonts
- Relatively sleek design
- Detachable Type-C cable

Cons:
- Gets loud if bottom out key pressing
- No volume wheel
- Optical switch might be too sensitive (subjective)


I'm looking at Huntsman TE, Logitech G Pro X, Logitech G915 TKL and Corsair K100.

But seems like Huntsman TE seems to be the best value compared to others.

Would appreciate feedbacks if anyone using it here.

PS: Not into customs keyboard.

That actually sounds like a good idea too, is a hotswap board and apparently all 3 pin switches can fit in, might need to squash the pin a bit to fit depending on brand from what i've seen.

My current tecware keyboard is the original white led with outemu brown switches, one smd led died on the M key and the top plate paint chipping off and rusting at some areas for me haha, especially above the left arrow key area.

Idk if the build quality has improved or not, but maybe u consider adding a clear coat to the top plate when u changing out the switches.

Just got mine and I know what you mean. My primary kb is still my good ol' Filco Minila. Even though it has aged, the built and feel of the kb simply can't compare with Keychron. Even the quality of the ABS keycaps are different.

Overall I think Keychron offers a good balance when you consider quality, features and price.

I don't recommend Logitech or Razer when it comes to mechanical kbs. Just look at the older posts here.

If it is the last keyboard you want to buy, get a leopold. I don't think you can break that thing, it has some attractive colourways for looks too. Not sexy, but you don't need anything else after that.

Sometimes the most important factor might not be totally on the switches or the keys, but the chassis itself could have more influence on the sound and keyfeel.
