I didnt know too till i saw the bfcm offer lol. Was about to buy from official keychron, then fiddle around saw this local shop listed in where to buy section.

Not sure why its not listed in the title but in the Switch Type selection it did indicate "Gateron (Hot-swappable)"

The writeup also indicate

K4 version 2 has full-size functionality in a compact design with 100 necessary keys. The hot-swappable option with preinstalled Gateron Mechanical switches offers the freedom to customize per-key typing experience without soldering.

If you order direct from keychron website the shipping is about USD$13 and if i am not wrong they charge it per quantity ordered so even if you consolidate multiple orders they will still charge USD$13 per piece.

Using the huntsman elite tournament edition now. Solid build.

- detachable Type-C cable on left side
- TKL
- doubleshot PBT keycaps with normal fonts
- standard layout
- sleek and simple design
- linear optical switch

Only thing is it is super sensitive. Need some time to get used to the 1mm actuation. Standard layout also means anytime can change keycaps.

Currently using back a Logitech K270 (previously bough for office use) wireless as I am cleaning out my mech keyboard. The no wires look is really nice & clean not to mention super convenient.
Currently playing cyberpunk 2077 with it
But of course the typing experience no match for mech board

Razer BlackWidow Mechanical with Orange switch is very good & slient if you are alright with Razer.

you can try it at challenger but check the price at amazon and you will be surprise for the price differences

I don't really like the notion of 'switch X is better for gaming than switch Y' because it's really subjective. Plenty of people use clicky/tactile, heavy switches to game and they're fine. Objectively, a switch that has low travel and high actuation point would be better for gaming but honestly I think people should just go for the switch that they like the most in terms of feel.

I use my buckling springs most of the time unless I'm doing stuff with a lot of double presses due to the heavy springs and travel distance...

White wise just pick any case/keyboard that's white and pair with white keycaps lol nobody gonna see the switch housing/stem color unless you're getting a low profile case, idk why so many people have a hard on for hipster colored switches

You could also swap the individual springs out for heavier ones if you decide to get a switch that is too light for your current preferences (eg. swapping your MX red springs out for 67g-90g springs).

the ducky one 2 sf white looks good though. yeah switch wise most likely i'll prob go with a mx red switch, thought of trying out a brown one though

for those using ducky keyboard, any recommendation? i prefer the 65% layout with arrow keys.

thought of doing a black / white theme, any recommendations on pre built one? otherwise it's either a black / white board and the remaining keycaps gotta change
