[Recommend] Good Mechanical Keyboard

It's really just a personal preference thing.
I went from Blues (Clicky tactile) > Browns (tactile) > Logitech Romer G (also tactile) > Silent tactiles > Silent linears > Gateron yellows (Not yet tested, still waiting for shipment).
Initially i just can't get used to the linear switches. But after spending like 1-2 weeks with it, i slowly got "converted" to a linear switch person. I can type relatively fast, so i prefer a non-tactile feel when typing. Less resistance, more smooth.

My fiancee still prefers tactile switches though.

You got the milky yellow gateron right . It's value also less than 50 cents per cap.

What pcb you're using ?

Just got this baby from Amazon. Yup, this is the one with AimPad, and magnetic wrist rest (so much better than those plastic clip one). Going to test later with racing games if it really works.

Yep, Gateron Yellow Milky Top, Black Bottom.
AKA Gateron Yellow KS-3-X47. Each switch was like S$0.23 (before shipping). You can also find them on Carousell, saw someone selling each switch for 30cents.

There are other Gateron Yellows.

Yes preferably all from Taobao since is the cheapest. For 60% it depends if you prefer with or without arrow keys.

It's just a bit higher. My Filco Minila can type without palm rest and it's fine. I think your Anne Pro 2 about the same height. Keychron ones are higher by a few mms but can feel the difference.

Maybe next i'll try those slim profile ones. Keychron seems to be very active in evolving their kbs unlike other brands. Filco the laziest of them all lol

Yes only need switches and keycaps.
Taobao is slightly cheaper. Do take note on the price differences between plastic case and Alu/Wood/CNC case.

I've made a 2 TB budget built so far, and have a spare kit lying around in preparation for my TB budget gateron yellow build.

Previous build (104 keys, no RGB, no-hotswap):

So what's the difference between the TE kit and TY kit?
TE kit is non-hotswap, and no RGB. You want Hotswap and RGB, u gotta buy your own side accessories and solder them on yourself. Even if u don't want to buy side hot-swap sockets, you'll still need to solder in your own switches.
TY kit cost like extra RMB120 more for the 104 keys. But comes with hotswap socket and RGB lights. Don't have to do anything extra. Way more beginner friendly.

OK my wife's RK68 came.

Heftier than my Anne Pro2.
Can use wireless OR BT. The keys are good. Limited RGB ( Not that she is using ).
I think this is way better than Tecware.

Perhaps I can buy this and just change the KeyCaps to customize?

Yes you can, if you want to change switches also can since the RK68 is hotswappable.

Doubt so since Keychron K2v2 is cheaper, available locally and wireless compared to Epomaker EP84
