Yes, I ordered off Taobao, the colourful variants also come with an extra set of plain keycaps. The extra cost do check out too, abt the price of a keycap set.

Sure will, it'll be my new daily driver. Just looking at value now, it's very good, given RK's repute of making reliable kbs. They could easily jack up the price a little and it'd still be good value compared to other reputable competitors.

yup same. but seller gave me top engraved keycaps for free hence the separate shipment. total shipment cost 10 bucks lol

anyone knows cheap taobao place or other sites selling gateron/cherry browns?


Edit: Kdb selling at $2 for 10 switches, thats cheap o.o

You can try Gateron flagship store on Taobao. (Go back a page or two, I got share the link to KS-9 switches) Also going for around that price. Cherry more ex I think.
Yes, seems very cheap straight from manufacturer. Local shops selling for SGD0.33 each mostly. OEM only selling ~$0.19 ea.

thanks. taobao shipping really not cheap lol if i were to buy switches only + shipping, it would be quite close to what local shops are offering already.

Remember to ask the seller to pack in small box, then it should be fine.

My 110 Gateron Yellows have a chargeable weight of only 0.21kg.
For 500grams shipping by EZShip, that's only 60-70c sea shipping (excluding 7% gst). Assuming a pack of 10 cost around RMB9.80 or $2.04SGD. 11 packs of 10 (total 110) is $20.40. GST of $1.43~. Add GST + Sea Shipping, a pack of 110 gaterons cost around $22.43, or roughly $0.2039 each.
Or if you use air-shipping, that's $2.9, but no GST. So average out is around $0.2118 each.

Can add on top of the keyboard pkg if you havent shipped it over already
Kb + caps ~1.5+kg, add 100 switches 0.21kg, still calculated as within 2kg shipping weight, stretch the shipping to the max worth
If still have spare shipping weight to stretch further, can add on foam pcs, films, lube, switch opener etc if you want to go further.
