can i ask if this speakers have a bass control at the subwoofer? or its just volume control only? thanks.
Logitech Z313 and Z407 have no bass control.
However even without bass control, it doesn't mean it is very heavy on bass.
Both these speaker are balanced in both mid and bass so good sound.

I own both of them and they are decent for their price point.
Take note Z313 can be brought at $39 from Harvey Norman.

Z333 have EOL/Discontinued, it is replaced by Z337.
However at Z337 price you can go for Z407 which is a better speaker.
Some shops at Sim Lim Square are selling Z407 around $120.

oic. thanks for the info.

just wondering if anyone is still using Altec Lansing ACS45 right now, in 2021.

i powered on mine and failed. LED light not powered.
faint sound coming from the speakers. woofer no response.

i went to search on how to tear open and repair. this leads me to a particular chip to change on the board. there's no clues on this model after much search.

only found a youtube vid on ACS45.1. slightly different board / chip used. so i cant determine if that is the right chip to replace. only costs usd 0.50 but need to know how to solder. this chip controls the power and volume of the woofer.

Given the age of the speaker as well effort you need to repair it. Rather just get Logitech Z313.
Newer speaker will sound better than old speakers.

1 further qn. maybe this have been asked b4.

for those using 2.1 or more.

do you put your woofer on the floor? (i think this is the theoretically right answer)
or some may put it on their desk / beside their pc?

Usually woofer is place on the floor so the low frequency can be heard properly.
I do notice some also put sub on table, however if it is a strong sub the table
can rattle.

So really depends but placing on the floor will be ideal unless you want to feel the effects.
LOL!

since im using the wireless feature?

Wired connection will always be best, Bluetooth wise best leave it for mobile phone etc. devices.
There is also USB connection which you connect Z407 to Logitech.
Bluetooth there is a issue with Latency, further you are there might be delay which
is why whether speaker/headphone for BT best to be near/short distance.

Eh keep in mind T60 doesn't support 24 bit output, I tested it with the USB c direct connection to my pc. A bit disappointed.

I think this is the only downside.. their new range of products are epic and super good for the money.

I think the new X4 audio interface is also a must get.
Hmmm... Depends on what you are using this for. Ultimately, this is a PC speaker.
For high-def codecs, I am using my Sonos. This is plainly for easy watching and Zoom sessions.

For me, if I need to play Hi res music in 24 bit format I stream to my Pioneer AVR via network
using Sony music center.
To be frank between 16 Bit and 24 Bit music, I can't really tell difference.
CD RIP is still my favorite but these days no more CD so really miss the good old days.

Sony music center are be used even if you do not own any Sony products but I use this
as my music player as well as to manage my Sony Walkman.

If you are looking at similar size, than JBL Quantum Duo will be much better option.
However it cost near $200.

i tested this just now. sound is good. the lights able to switch off as well. (so that it wont blink) but defeat the purpose of getting this pair.

also tested t100. quite satisfied with this pair too.

not yet conclude which model.

I be frank I have nothing against Creative but their reliability is questionable.
I have used Inspire, Gigaworks speaker series in the past but most failed after a year or so.
Which is why if anyone ask if Creative speakers are good, their sound quality are good
no doubt since they are the pioneer in PC sound card but when it will fail you never know.

It's disappointing like Gigaworks T3 I owned the remote failed, Gigaworks G500 some speaker
channel not working etc. Thus I would consider other brands instead like Edifier or Logitech instead.
Anyway if anyone notice most shops do not carry Creative full line of speaker, usually their
newer models like T60, T100, Stage and Katana.

Other models like Gigaworks have to place online, compare with Logitech and Edifier most
do sell almost all models these brands have.
The Edifier G2000 is a good choice but take note to get it around $80, have to buy only
at Challenger.

Edifier G2000 <---If it's me, I would up budget to $199.
Grab Edifier e25HD.
