What about bookshelf active speakers from Adam audio, krk, Mackie, Yamaha?

The current bang for buck is JBL 305P since it has been price cut from usual $480 per pair to $350, not sure how long this will last.

Generally studio monitors provide good performance, but the setting up is always problematic. The volume control is separate for each speaker, and you pretty much have only analog in.

KRK Rokit G4 comes with its own adjustable EQ

Went to challenger to see just now, only Klipsch Promedia 2.1 available for review. R1280 also there but no display to review.
$399 for the pro media, $379 if member of value club.

I was thinking just to go with Promedia just because it's available and im used to 2.1... then i saw how much US is selling it at Amazon... US$ 176 wtf...

That is only SGD 250, why is it marked up so much in SG?

Despite the price is mark up, take note of overseas speakers from US.
You will need step down transformer as US are using 120V while SG
is 230v.

Just my two cents if you like 2.1 configuration since sub can deliver
deeper bass and handle low frequency like rumble better than 2.0.
Than get the Logitech Z265 but this time maybe you want to consider
getting a sound card for better sound quality.

In the past my Z625 I have paired with Creative sound card the SQ
It improve the mids and bass but careful of the bass as it can be over powering.

Sound blaster Z at $129 will do fine.

Great speakers! I had this for many years too, though I prefer a more powerful sub

That is actually first version which is surprising it is still sold here.
Now is Aego 3, there are two version.

Standard with separate speakers (Wider sound stage)

Soundbar (Narrow sound stage)

Difference between the side is the sound stage, the separate speaker configuration.
You can place the speaker further apart for wider sound stage.

If you want to try 2.0 speaker either R1280DB or R2000db.
Take note you will a bigger space on your table.
If you ask what speaker as well as soundcard
I am using, you can see in my signature ->.

I have played with many speakers, sold many until I end up
with Logitech Z523. :s13:
Why? Z523 mids are not that good but the bass isn't so overpowering
like the Z623/Z625.

However Logitech Z523 is discontinued so unlikely to find this speaker.
Causal gamer here, don't really have much time since my work are staggered hours so Z523 will do fine for me.

Aego 3 is it available in SG?

Buy which one you like, if not up to your standard than sell.

my standard not high so im sure either will be good enough for me. :s13:

For Klipsch Promedia, as you said earlier due to the power issue I can't use the set from US without modification, so will have to buy locally. I like how the set isn't that big and bulky, but just don't like how much the price got marked up.

Edifier350db, only thing stopping me is the size, I could probably fit it on my table with the sub on the floor, but just hope it's 10% smaller.

Sorry just organising my thoughts here.

U can consider getting used set from Carousell. But make sure the BT model. THX model is too old

I just sold my Bose Companion 5 and bought Promedia BT from Challenger 2 weeks ago @ $369 - happy with the sound
