Recommendations for computer speakers

My Swan M10 has this interference sound when power up. ( u know those buzzing soft soft sound. )

I decided that perhaps its time to change my speakers. I'm looking at perhaps to change into a creative t100. Is this speaker ok ? any reviews?

Btw, Swam m10 interference issue. Buzzing soft sound. anyone know how to solve it ?

- Buzzing sound have you tried to unplug the 3.5mm cable?
If unplug the 3.5mm cable no buzzing than could be cable.
However if it is not connected to any device and buzzing than speaker itself may have noise.

I would recommend Edifier R1280DB than T100, much better mids and bass.
Take note R1280DB there are two version one with S and one without.
The older R1280DB is around $12X, the R1280Ds is around $16X.

The older model I only know Sim Lim Square selling, most Challenger stores selling the newer one.

Not that I am aware of, I only know some speakers but not Edifier have humming.
If your set after you buy have such issue than bring back to the shop to check/exchange.
Online purchase wise, have to bring to distro at Ubi to check.

I have R1280DB paired with Edifier XM2PF subwoofer.

no humming sound. If you have, try use usb dac or digital input

Finally I got my DIY system up and running. I constructed some mounts and built two 76x35cm panels by cutting up $3 coroplast sheets that I had lying around. Not the neatest job but it seems to do well enough.



I must say preliminary results seem pretty good. These sound exciters have a lot of potential. They definitely sound very clear. I think they are better in clarity compared to my old Creative T3. They lack bass, but adding in a subwoofer really fills in the gap.

Highly recommended if anyone wants to DIY some nice sounding speakers.

Any of you prop up your speaker at the front so it is tilted upwards? What do you use to prop it up?

Buying speaker isn't about brand but the sound.
If you put it that way, Creative to some like myself I won't recommend.
QC and reliability is questionable.

I myself also using Edifier but not that speaker.
PC speaker wise usually brands are Logitech, Edifier and etc.
Unless you want high end than KEF but may exceed your budget.

You can try Audioengine A5+ or HD6. Kef you can consider LSX.

One thing to note is at higher price points, companies tend not to produce smaller speakers. The smallest common size is 4-inch to 5-inch. Companies will also tend not to produce 2.1 systems but will rather sell you 2.0 systems and subwoofer instead.

Once you understand and can accept what you need to buy, then a whole new world opens up.

Otherwise you're stuck with <$500 speakers which are not much of an upgrade to your current.
