can we wear track shoes in korea during winter season, will out feet be too cold.
Thinking of wearing army boots if it is warm enough. Anyone try wearing army boots in winter.

Army boots ? never try before but Timberland that type of boots is definitely ok. Track shoes hmmm depends like if those sole worn out one better not lah cos it could be wet and slippery and you may fall down, brand new and tough ones should be okay.

One advise: If unsure what winter clothing is suitable, go rewatch the "Winter Sonata" VCDs/DVDs. The only "unrealistic" thing in the show is that the actors did not wear a ski hat (for better cameo appearance I assumed). This is definitely necessary if snowing cause the ski hat could use to cover your ears else it will be frozen and numb, even cold wind blowing on your face will make your face numb

Btw: was told that we are going sking in Pyongyong instead of Alps ski because Alps ski is under renovation, not stay in Pyongyong resort though.

From what i know the first 10 is $1098.. after that they will +$100 ~ 150 for the rest..
By the way have you got any winter wear?? any good buy?? i just got a fleece jacket for $19 each only

I already got johns, ski cap, gloves and outer jacket during my last trip..so no need to buy this time.

However just bought a thick woollen turtleneck sweater from Coldplay at 50% discount, $18 only (only left with L size). Zhong Jiao and another winter clothing stores at People Park Complex has cheap gloves, scarfs etc for sale

Okay just want to highlight, Gentings tours compared to other tour package is cheaper by a couple of $100s for your package because of the following:

1) Ski suit is not included, only equipment is provided. Rental is about SGD30/suit
2) 3 of the meals not provided. Standard Korean cusines.
3) Stay in 4* star hotels except upgrade to 5* for 1 nite in Seoul.
4) Does not stay in Ski Resort but go Pyongyong for Sking.
5) Big 5 ticket to Everland not provided but can be purchase at around SGD40
6) Aquaworld optional can go on your own expense ard SGD15/entrance

If you don't not staying at 5 stars ( one place you stay the most 2 nights), even paying all the extra expense on your own, you still save a bit.

You can save the money for your shopping hehe..I'm a budget man..hehe

I think it is about $1498 without airport tax.
They are giving 6* hotels and spa package.
Too bad they do not have interest-free installment package.
Now considering SA tours instead..

With airport taxes that adds up to ard $1800.

So you guys think is worthwhile paying a few hundred bucks more just to stay in 5 or 6* hotels for a night while you are out most of the daytime ?

Even for 4-5 stars hotel, I think less than $100 difference..
What's the diff?
