Hi. I'm looking to plan a trip for 11 pax to Korea during early Mar. Have some questions!

- Shld I take package tours or free&easy? (If package, can kindly recommend some agencies)

- Where are some of the places of interest that are worth visiting!

-What temperature can we expect during early March.

Thanks ! :D

any experienced tour goers?
especially those who joined tours as 1 pax only.

how was it like?
i've been pondering to join tour on my own...
been there twice on my own and both times diy.

now i'm trying to go again...but so tired out from work to plan anything...so, tempted to just whack a tour itinerary and fly off...so that no need to plan anything and just follow where they bring and enjoy the ride

Yes. Please see my post as followed;

xiaopiggy and the rest, dont ever try Hong Thai! I have extremely terrible experience with them,
1) over-promised and under-delivered - need to top up a few hundred dollars for no reason when there is a change of date (only 4 days apart and not within my expectation) + same itinerary. Be careful when you sign up for their promotion/deal (gimmick!!)

2) the manager did not fulfill his promise when he confirm i will receive my refund. It has been more than 2 weeks since i received it. Imagine the opportunity cost here. We are talking about thousand dollars here! Their sales men promise you earth and sky when they want your business. But they deter addressing your concerns after you sign up for their package. You never hear from them, no calls and email on why there is no refund.

3) i log a complain to their director (Alex Chan) and managing director 黃士心. Like what i said, not even a word or call from them.

4) i am not the only one

Ask yourself, do you still think you are interested to take up a package with them?

I totally know how u felt.. same thing here.. i tot i got a good deal and two weeks before the tour, they say not enuff ppl.
Funny thing is the alternative tour that they offered. when i pretend to be a new customer and wanting the same tour they actually offered me 100 cheaper... hais..
sub standard.. but now lan lan.. hong thai still the cheapest i can find

Came back recently from a 8D7N trip by ASA travel agency. My family + cousin's family = 9 people who went to Korea. We went during winter.

I was VERY impressed with ASA's service. They have a very enthusiastic and experienced tour guide called Linda and she was very helpful throughout our trip. For example, during dinner/lunch she always makes sure we have enough to eat or tops up our food frequently.

She also told us that ASA takes note of any food preferences we have for example no beef due to religion or no pork etc. The only complaint I have is that she pesters us too much to buy Korean stuff like ginseng, tangerines which we don't like, but I guess thats part of her job.

If any of you wants to go to Korea, try to look for a package that visits Jeju. Jeju's superb and beautiful!

Overall, the must-do in Korea must be skiing, shopping(if you are fashion-savvy since latest asian trends are all in Korea), and visiting Jeju(teddy bear museum, glass castle).

i went with my family last jun during school holidays with Nam ho. It is only$1600 per pax (inclusive airport tax and tips). We got to go to jeju too and we watched namda cooking show, lotte world, everland, ATV etc all without extra charges. Very good value for money. If you gg korea, can go with namho

thanks for your reply mosmos..
any idea when will the bookings for end year be usually open?

i don't think you want to pay 50% deposit so early now

You maybe the only couple in the grp until year end mths then able to form a grp when tour company start to advert this tour package

Then nowadays many happenings monthly, natural disaster, dieases, etc, when cancellation, your deposit may take mths to refund

Then tour depart date maybe oso change due to many reasons such as flight schedule, hotel availability, etc
