Did they promise that PyongYOng is confirm?

PyongYong Ski Resort was only promised at Genting Holiday Office when I made the booking. Upon reaching Korea, nothing was mentioned about PyongYong Ski Resort just was told we are going skiing on day X.

On day X, unsure about routes in Korea and where the bus is heading, the bus brought us to this Ski resort, was looking at all over the place and found out it was Vivaldi Ski Resort. Too late to complain by then hence just enjoy my first ski experience. The atmosphere at Vivaldi was great, crowded with people all enjoying themselves, so just keep quite and no complain for me..hehe

Guess PyongYong Ski Resort is not much different from Vivaldi except the Winter Sonata fame.

Since your trip is coming, maybe you like to reflect this to Genting Holidays.

There should be some places for the couples but we never explore that, the public shared hot/warm/cold pools are already fun enough

Infact I was so surprised that Korean women are so conservative in these spas, they mostly dressed in one piece swimsuits with a scarf wrapped at the waist *bang. The Singaporean women in my group are more open and some dressed in bikini somemore. Seems like our arrival caught the Korean men by great surprise..saw them staring...hahaha.

i guess it will be too late, if i am not wrong they will need you to make full payment 2 weeks before departure. but if you ask them which hotel and which ski resort, they will tell you only the last 3 days then can confirm, by then it is already too late for you to know as full payment has been paid.

and tour agency are very smart and they will tell you the hotel and ski resort stated on the itinery stated clearly '?? hotel or similar' or '?? ski resort or similar'. so you cannot conplain as they never promise you, they stated clearly 'or similar'.

did you try the cold pool, is it cold in the area with only your swimming trunk.

As long as it's swimming attire at least, it should be OK. There're a lot of pool staff around though, and they've very sharp. If you're not dressed properly, they'll blow whistles and signal you right away.

Either way, it's unlikely that your groin area will be cold; much more likely your chest area will be the part that's cold when you step out of the water in the outdoor pools.

Yes you could wear swim shorts there. Cold/warm/hot pools are all indoor so no feel cold at all. Cold pool is like our local swim pool temperature....warm pool is about 34 deg and hot pool is about 54 deg.

There are some hot outdoor pools also.

There are saunas there but we never explore.

My camera is nothing spectacular just an idiot 4MP Fuji camera bought few years back but recently upgraded to 1GD XD card.

As long your phone is not 3G and you are not a 3G subscriber, your phone is useless in Korea. You could rent CDMA phones from HP operators here.

IMO, the visor is necessary to protect your eyes. With all the sunlight rays reflecting off the white snow, one should protect one's eyes. If you have sunglasses, that'll work too; it's better to be safe than sorry.

It is good to have something to protect yr eyes.. but if the condensation get into the goggles making your visibilty blurr make you worse.... those who rent the goggle in my group in the end or didnt use....

it is really sad to know you cannot upload the photos, maybe your pic size is too big.

not really cause of the camera... if you are sucks even if given a DSLR also no use.... infact i am not good.. i am only satisific with only less then 10% of my photos... i still ave many beautiful one.. but uploading is tedious now cause of the internet down

which places is better to shop in seoul, and what time do they close?

Well depends on what you wanna shop, clothes now it's winter seasons so you can't really find any summer clothes. Dongdaemun is more moderns with high rise shopping malls and Namdaemun is like pasar malam/flea market. You can find cheap apparels there and other stuffs like food. You also can go to Myeongdong area which you can . Itaewon for leather goods but you can't find much "BRANDED" leather goods as police always go around those leather goods shop and raid those shop who sells "BRANDED" leather goods. Many americans(especially blacks) hang around Itaewon so becareful. Myeongdong you can find lotsa shops selling fashion goods but the price isn't cheap as other places.
