and is it comfortable to walk in it for the whole day?
I wore my moc toe boots on a trip recently. Brought them cos some days were wet and cold, and I went to some places where were it was not paved. They kept me dry and worked great on gravel, rock, sand, mud...etc.

The only thing is, they are heavy. By the end on the day, the top of my feet hurt from the weight of the boots. Every time I took a step, the weight pressed against the instep area and it became a big chore. Couldn't wait to get back to the hotel and take them off...

tried before. and it failed. maybe because of my jeans ah i alter till the mouth is just nice nice to my ankle because i wear it with loafers and slip on. so going get a new pair of jeans first then see how it goes ah.

Are you wearing skinny jeans? Very likely the ankle area is more tapered compared to slim or regular jeans. I doubt any mid-cut and above boots can be covered by a well-tapered jeans.

Is it as heavy as saf boots? The older saf boots were heavy and we walk miles in them during exercise and mission. Go everywhere with it in burnei. After seasoning, the boots is allright and provide protection well. Maybe you need to break in the boots further as i m sure the moc is lighter than a saf boot.

Yes, I have already worn them for a few months prior to the trip. The leather uppers are already very soft.

The difference was, in Singapore, my wear time is much shorter, usually at most 7-8hours. And also not very much walking around. Overseas, I wore them for more than 12 hours at a time, and I'm on my feet most of the time, sometimes hiking up mountains...etc.

On the days where I wore sneakers for the same activities, my feet were very glad. The only day I regretted not wearing the red wings was when it rained in the middle of the day. My feet got soaking wet.

nope. straight slim denizen jeans , even my april cant fit in too.. yeah i think because i tapered the ankle area too much.. in the past i used to be able to cover la. but it look a little baggy thats the problem. if red wing i think it would be perfectly fine with my current jeans.. my timberland mouth is like 3-5x bigger then red wing one leh..

Thanks.
Anyone knows if we order from US and shipped via proxy like comegateway, if the shoe is less than 400sgd but adding other smaller stuff like polishes etc, it amounts to more than 400sgd, will gst be incurred as it is combined shipping?

i had used 65dg to buy shoes from US
after the Free repacking service it cost sgd$20 per pair to ship over.
if you dont want take the risk for missing, loss or damage can purchase their insurance. total still below sgd$30.

Hi guys, looking around for an Iron Ranger.. does anyone know the difference between Amber and Amber Harness?

Amazon currently has a deal for a pair at USD$289, can I get a better deal anywhere else?

Amber Harness is the only one. No other Amber.

No better deal for now. At that price, U r better off buying it locally or at the JB outlet.

The price from Amazon does not include shipping from USA to SG. :vijayadmin:

I posted it here instead of the watch thread, because I think the Red Wing fans will appreciate this more. :D
