Haha bro your memory is power! I bought then from edetal. They used to have stocks at Front Row but no longer. You can just google for their address. I remember it's near Alexander road. They have a made to measure service now as their stocks are finished. I ordered a black pair from them awhile ago.
it has been a long time since i last updated. i almost couldnt find my own thread!
im still on the german volume training programme. i can tell that my body is really getting used to this, and so the rate of gain is tapering off.
the improvements i have made so far are:
bench 100kg - from about 80 reps with spots to low 90s reps without spots
dumb bell press 40kg - i usually complete a 100 reps as there are no more heavier dumb bells around. ive pestered the gym to bring in some bigger ones, but until then im just going to skip this
losing weight too slow already.
me 7 mths ago 106kg bf 32%

now 77kg bf 18%

i am a gym goer as well and i am sure you have seen much people doing the same thing like you did but with a much ugly physique eg. chest, arms, stomach all 3 big. chest and arms big doesnt mean it looks good. i know it can help to hide the belly when you wear tight fit shirts but it makes your body proportion really ugly. worst of all, it makes your look short. you see your muscle cutting you know. you carry heavy but because of your body fat, your muscle cutting not obvious at all. you lose 10kgs and you see your muscles again. you want to have a good looking body or just to carry heavy? previously i only focus on my biceps, triceps and chest forgetting about the abs, shoulders and back. i even cut down on cardio and gain some weight, luckily my gym buddy pull me back to the right track. just make sure you are on the right track. do what you need to do rather than what you like to do.
Bro, German Volume Training gave me good gains too.
But please be careful with the Bench Press and perhaps reduce the volume. You may want to Google 'bench press rotator cuff'
Thanks for your reply bro! Congrats on your weight loss! You look really good now. It must have taken a lot of effort.
Your post made me think hard about why I'm satisfied with the rate of progress I'm experiencing. I think it boils down to different priorities. Having a good looking body with nice cutting comes in almost last. My days of chionging the beach are long over hehe. The reason why I want to work out is to lose weight and to gain strength, so that my lower back no longer hurts and I can play with my kid without it giving way. And I'm happy to report that my back is much stronger. So that's probably why I'm pleased with gradual weight loss as long as I'm progressively getting stronger.
But that's not to say that I don't respect power lifters and body builders. I do. Very different body shapes, although the dedication and sacrifice made are equally phenomenal. As such, I'm afraid I have to disagree with your opinion that thick arms, chest, back and waist are ugly.
Your reminder about my reasons for working out is very timely. Thanks again bro!

i'm not saying that thick arms, chest, back and waist are ugly. a fat belly is ugly. example i have a 38inch waistline and in order to cover that i will have to pump my chest to like 46inch. do you think it will look good ? maybe it does if you are tall enough.
when i was 100kg+ , i looked at myself in the mirror and i still thinks that it is acceptable. until 1 day my colleague told me that i am very fat. he happened to be a part time trainer before at planet fitness so he told me he can help me for free. what he told me was before i need to start lifting, i must be at least normal bmi range. then from that day i start doing cardio 3-4 times a week. 1hour each time.
i didnt know i slim down until most of my colleagues told me. my uniform from xl size to m size. waistline 38 to 32. then i went to weigh myself.

i went back to look at my photo, the feeling is different. i didn't expect myself to be so fat. when i was 100kg+ i look at myself and i didn't even feel that way. the feeling is totally different. i was like wtf, so fat like a pig.
when you slim down till 90kg and you look at your photo again, the feeling is totally different from what you see now.
most difficult part to train is abs and that is also the only part most people left to train![]()

once again good for you @ysatis.
maybe before you began your rant, you could have read his reply. Or start your own logging thread "to achieving abs". I'm quite sure we got the message the first time.
Damn, you are strong. May I know how long have you been training? And what rep ranges you used prior to the current ones in your log?
Thanks!
