Saw Xiaomi Singapore Official Global Store Shopee Redmi 9 listing, quite a number of buyers bought thinking there's NFC, then to realise there isn't and gave a one star review. Their listing also quietly removed the mention of NFC after leaving it there when it first started selling. :s22:

Of cos they will leave it there is to General the initial sales, after that remove it lo but the sales would have been made, it’s not a mistake but a sales strategy if you complain they will then direct you another locally avail nfc capable note 9 variant which then you will have to buy another phone hence another sales and since the Redmi 9 phone is less than 200 seldom
Ppl will refund or make a big fuss just keep it as spare phone.

Better to get Redmi 9 with Type-C. I have a Redmi 8 with 5000mAh with Type-C but bundled charger is only 10W and the charging is slow.

They did the same with the Note 9. Considering the price gap between the NFC enabled Note 9 Pro and Redmi 9 is quite large, don’t think people will actually compare the two. The local distributor also keep publicising the Redmi 9 upgrades from Redmi 8 chart from European market with the mention of NFC....

How can it be the poster which are imda regulated part of your equipment packaging requirement will make a mistake and left in the final retailing poster and only took it off after some time after the initial sales?

They are not a newbie company launching their 1st or 2nd phones.

That should be considered as false advertising instead of strategy... Claiming a Vios to have a v12 engine?

Yes hence once large no. Of ppl bought and to accumulate enough “feedback” then they “oops” change the poster lo

Quite common tactics in sales la if you go into sales job you will find out.

There is not such thing as “mistakes” or “mistakenly leaked” if you know what I mean it’s all part of the marketing strategy

That should be considered as false advertising instead of strategy... Claiming a Vios to have a v12 engine?

Redm 9A is 2GB RAM plus 32GB storage.

Still 2GB RAM is too little today. The last Android phone I bought with 2GB RAM was the Samsung Galaxy S4 LTE+ in Sept 2014. From 2015 onwards, Oppo R7, Mi Max 1 and Realme 5 all have 3GB RAM. Then Huawei Nova 3i, Oppo R11S and Huawei P20 have 4GB RAM. Last one I bought in Dec 2019 Huawei Nova 5T has 8GB RAM.

Redmi 9C got both 2GB and 3GB RAM version.

If you only need a basic phone this is one of the best value for money already, but do get the one with nfc I think the bro said 190.

Becos the next phone that has nfc will be the note 8T / 8 pro already then that is at lease 100 bucks jump in pricing

I haven't buy yet. Thinking only. Some more is not type c
