I flashed mine to EU rom, which is basically the China rom without the China apps and comes with Google play. Have to use a custom recovery for the RMN7 though.
Everything works fine except the GPS which many complain doesn't work. Had to flash a new gpsconfig file and now works like a charm.

Still, am waiting for the global rom, cos I find the phone battery usage still not optimised enough and it does get slightly warm from time to time.

means i can go ahead and get the china set. it is possible to eventually use it with a global (non-china) rom?

As long as your bootloader remains unlocked, I don't see why you can't flash any rom.
Just don't relock the bootloader, else you WILL brick the phone.

If you want to flash custom recovery or root. Basically unlock bootloader u need to wait up to 360hours which is 15 days

Nope. Gave up on trying and used my TPG sim on my Mipad.
Thats why still waiting on global rom to see if it works

19 March is the next date to watch/Msia launch date. Their pricing shd be indicative of ours, otherwise can buy in Msia, it time to make friends with jhk. Those with **** friends can by RMN7pro today (13th, 12pm)
