I totally agree with you but that may increase the selling price further than which is already supposedly be higher.

Affordable pricing was the main draw factor of all the stats nerds (including myself lol) to F1. It will be an on-paper good phone with the 48mp cam but may price it out of affordability of this target audience.

Also from marketing point of view if the company like xm and (used to be) Samsung where they come out many phone, having one “perfect” phone will negate other products so manufacturers always make the product lack at least 2 features, to differentiate the affordable range compare to the flagship.

Which I see the focus of Redmi has been lost which leijun said Redmi is to make the affordable value for money phone and let mi concentrate flagship phone category

But seems now at least imho, both companies seems to just find ways (at least in Singapore) trying to find ways to bring out the cost ie profit and lost the original affordable value for money Redmi phone.

What I feel is that Xiaomi may instead put the IMX586 in the Poco F2 and launch it for the global market, such that there's no need for a global Redmi Note 7 Pro (excluding India).

I may be wrong, but just my two cents.

And unfortunately I will say besides from the battery life and the numerous bugs of F1 with Mi Sg pricing of note7 , PI F1 is mostly a better buy not becos of 845 like what a lot of nerds here think but if you do the math as a whole value for money / pricing F1 does hold an advantage.

But if according to that tot why stop at F1 when there is realme meizu note 9 and X8 to consider or even with Xiaomi mi 8 lite / Se to consider

F1 not only the SD845.. The Ufs2.1 makes lots of differences.. Miui is a much better OS then vivo or other brands. The update is almost monthly and if u go beta is weekly update. Franky speaking try get more ram.. Then 6gb is sweet spot. For storage yes those got expandable slot is good but for Poco F1 I abit regret nv get 128gb cause the internal Ufs2.1 is way way way faster then sd card speed.

Yeah the trf rate between my Poco and PC using the cable is fantastic thanks to that, moi sold off the 64gb and gotten the armour edition like few others here becos of the 128gb storage and the special exterior.

Actually curious about both of your use case how many time a day or a week do you plug your phone to your pc and transfer what material (of what size) to your phone?

Like for my use case of Redmi note 4 (SD) the only time I connect to a computer are for download of rom to flash.

In the initial months which I bought this phone at that time streaming app stil not common so very common to download movies and series into my phone from computer to watch?

But for now with streaming app so common does any of you pocco users still download movies from computer to watch?

As for photos do you download to pc I upload to cloud and also edit on my phone

As for games do you even install games from computer or directly download and install from play store, if so your wifi so fast that it’s maxing out the write speed of emmc?

Last which have merits of 845 opening and loading of games does have significant impt using ufs2.1. Which as I said beside from the games part ie downloading / installing / loading of game the ufs has significant impact.

May I ask which task make sense for ufs 2.1.

As for opening of games 845 has much higher impact compared to ufs2.1

Yeah the trf rate between my Poco and PC using the cable is fantastic thanks to that, moi sold off the 64gb and gotten the armour edition like few others here becos of the 128gb storage and the special exterior.

So for the sake of discussion just take away effect of 844+ufs2.1 on gaming.

What other daily tasks does either 845 or ufs2.1 outperform?

For me I have a few like when I am brushing fb videos, tic-toc (stuttering) , certain fast scrolling in MIUI (stuttering), multi-tasking (sometimes have Waze, comfort driver app, Spotify / Netflix/ YouTube streaming in the background and WhatsApp all loaded in the ram and I switch between them I feel abit if lag

Abt sd845+ ufs 2.1 comparision.. I think I m best to compare cause I have max 3 with Sd636 and emmc storage.. I compare with mine pocophone and max 3.. Opening of apps.. Games and normal usage.. Pocophone is way way snappy and fast.. If get use to poco speed.. Max 3 or even note 7 pro will be laggy

The good reason for u to get note 7 pro is the superior camera. However if the price difference between it and pocophone is little.. Then hands down get pocophone.. Beside the camera is good also. Better cpu, better ram, and better storage type and better wifi speed also..

I seldom gaming.. But still use pocophone is way way more efficient then my max 3..i m not said note 7 pro not good.. If the price is 200 to below 300 Definately grab note 7..for price above 300 get pocophone f1.. Even if F2 come out u can get F1 just buy.. Everything in a package hidden are way better specs.. Cpu, storage, ram, wifi chip and GPS chip.. Yes I compare GPS lock in speed pocophone is almost instant.. My max 3 need abt 3 to5 sec

Most of your stuttering I feel is either not enough ram ( <=4gb) or poor MIUI optimizations. Of course micro stuttering is subjective to each person's tolerance.

Generally, if you have 6gb ram and stock-ish Android, there should be minimal lag or none.

With the official global rom out for RMN7, so it means we can get china sets to DIY flash right? BUT if we get 6gb ram 64gb china sets, does this global rom still work?

I am a little confused if the hardware matters for the rom to be flashed properly... The last I flashed a xiaomi phone was RMN2, which wasnt that many variations and confusing back then... :s22:

You'll have to wait a while... A fastboot global rom is still not released yet.... or at least a working link to download one because a recovery rom was released but everyone needs the fastboot version which the download link is not working.

Fyi: the recovery rom doesn't work as it will keep rebooting when I restart the phone.... Says "finding device closed unexpectedly" message many times. Flashing via the flashboot rom will solve that issue they say
