May I ask comparing redmi note 8 and Mi A3 , which is a better phone to get? Thinking of getting one for my daughter going Sec 1 next year but not sure which to get. Thanks alot

as some other bro mentioned on mi a3 thread, both phones are very similar, only compare os (miui vs android one) and display tech (ips vs amoled). however, i feel mi a3 would be more suitable as it is smaller and lighter.

the other considerations u also have to make is the slightly subpar under display fp (i would say the capacitive fp on the note 8 would be more reliable) and the lower display resolution (made worse by pentile amoled) on the mi a3, but i dont think young children would really care about those very much.

for kids, pretty much
-screen size for watching youtube...gaming...
-storage space for their tons of picture/video
-camera
-colors

there is no better phone, just preference and budget in mind.
For me, i will get rmn8 for the resolution & screen size.
i will only get a3 if aiming for the under display fingerprint scanner or small phone or bt 5.0

if ur kid indoor type, note 8
if ur kid outdoor type, a3

then lastly, show her the picture, let her choose. ;)

Hi, I noticed the Chinese Note 8 does not have LTE band 7 according to XiaoMi’s website. Does it impact your reception in any way?

Don't seem to have impact for Starhub & M1.
