I just plugged in my 9Pro to charge for the 2nd time since last week. I noticed now it is only charging at 20W instead of the original 30W from the first time. I have a power meter so I plugged in to see how much it draws while charging, which I forgot to do in the first time round. I did see it draw 6A on the 1st time though, from a battery app on phone. Now it would just go around ~3.5-4A (18-20W).

I updated MIUI to 11.0.5.0 from stock 11.0.4.0 a short while after 1st charge, so I'm not sure if it's a bug or an actual issue. I'm using the original charger and cable in the box. Battery temp is ~40C in both cases.

Anyone notice if your phone charging slower? If you have a power meter or even a battery app like AccuBattery or Ampere, can let me know what kind of current does the battery charge at up till around 50% from some lower amt?

EDIT: Just finished a full charge (11-100%), 1h20m. Is this the normal rate you guys get?

if you add usb meter, the charging current will drop due to meter resistance.
Total time with meter is longer than without

3.5-4A might not be 18-20W. U need to see the voltage. Most quick charge ain't done on 5V. If 9V on 4A is 36W already.

I'm using something like a kill-a-watt, not an in-line USB meter. Is a whole 3-pin socket which I can plug anything into, and it reads in raw Watts. I know QC is definitely not on 5V, but whatever voltage and current shown by app checks out with what is shown on the power meter (Power = Volt x Current)

My request for refund for 9 pro due to scratch at the glass back and stuck on/off button is approved. Money refunded into my credit card already. :)

Ask y’all hor, N9P has this little light on the top that blinks slowly - can it be disabled?

Switched from Redmi 4x to Note 9S for about a week, experience is not as smooth as I thought. Some lags here and there, camera so-so (even photos taken in daylight have a lot of noise), and only 1 speaker so videos and music not as shiok. Will go back to 4x and keep as spare.

If you are coming from Redmi 4X, how is Note 9S not a significant upgrade??!!

Camera is not amazing i agree but it's 200-300+, surely you can't expect it to be flagship level and also it must be a lot better than Redmi 4X.

Keeping 9S as spare and use 4x is a really strange decision:s22: It is even snappier than my Galaxy S7 Edge.

Anyone tried custom ROM from XDA? Note 9 pro sg version is call note 9 pro or 9 pro max in XDA? Thanks
Indian N9Pro = Global 9S (codename Curtana)
Global N9Pro is codenamed Joyeuse
N9 Pro Max (seems universal) is codenamed Excalibur

Just take note of the Joyeuse tag if you're looking for ROMs there. I also found a Telegram channel full of updates and ROMs etc just for Joyeuse. Let me know if you want to take a look, can PM you the link.
