Anyone here with the Pro variant tried unlocking bootloader, flashing custom recovery, ROM etc, and managed to pass the SafetyNet checks?

I'm kinda hesitant to do even the unlocking as I read it'll trip the SafetyNet and cause GPay and bank apps to not work. For now, I just want custom recovery, so that I can do full backups occasionally. I definitely want NFC to still work.

x3 and note 9 design difference I think is the rear camera shape only..but too bad the casing not interchangeable.

I have never in my life experienced any issues after any OTA update for any of Xiaomi's phones, starting from the original redmi.

But that's because I don't install dodgy apps.

Was reading that cos Note 9S (maybe 9 and 9 Pro also?) has no china variant, so they can't just port over, that's why have to wait so long until others got it.
