Not using 5G, but 4G is good enough for my work conference calls at home, as well as other light internet surfing and streamingAnyone using 4g for meeting video calls?
Also, does 5g significantly improve the home broadband experience?
I got a zym card. On mobile phone, download speed is about 30Mbps. But when i plug the card into TP link router (5G and 2.4), the download speed went down to 15Mbps. Anyone knows what's the problem?
IMHO.Which cheap mnvo good for sim router use?
IMHO.I am currently on whizzcomm 2.5G ONR connected to 2x Airties 4930 using lan cable.
ONR and 1x Airties are inside a "switch box cabinet".
Paying ~$29/mth (out of contract). Exploring to using either CL / Zero / Zym to replace WC home broadband and save $20/mth.
My top priority is to continue using Airties 4930 as I have too many appliances connected e.g. 2 broadlink, washing machine, robot vac, tv, etc. was a nightmare trying to change some of them earlier.
Second would be to ROI within 6mths with <$100 for the new setup.
I reckon i could get a basic 4G Wi-Fi router, insert the SIM, turn-off the Wi-Fi and connect it to my Airties?
My concerns are would the telco signal be degraded if the 4G router is placed in the cabinet as well.
And would such setup allow accessing my devices when i am not at home. e.g. broadlink, robot vac.
Appreciate some feedbacks, recommendations or comment on such setup.
Is it because the Telco can detect you are using a 5G/4G router?IMHO.
You can test easily using your mobile phone and do a speedtest.
Just note there are a lot of 4G routers.
Let's say you get 150Mbps download on your mobile device does not mean you can get that on your 4G router.

The CPU in even the most basic (but new) phones are more powerful than the ones in most decent routers, let alone basic ones.IMHO.
I have a few routers - i think the chipset in the basic ones are not that fantastic.
