Things like safety feature government should help out also , so many car accident in Singapore can be avoided if they add in the anti collision. And blind spot indicater. With these 2 feature I confirm accident drop by at least 80% as the car will brake for you if you are too near and too fast to the object in front or at the back when you are reversing
Our cars basically is like junk to them .
Low performance , low safety feature.
And some ppl in sg driving low performance car think they driving awd high performance spec car .
Incentive should be given for cars owners that have such safely feature in thier car . Even my wife can’t drive at all can drive such car . As u can’t bang into anything

Profit margin n also usa road so big of cos more necessary than our road

U can’t , the only way for it to happen is software malfunction or breakdown , but you can’t drive also as it will lock down , I don’t mean those lousy anti collision that will only beep beep . I mean those that will brake for you , go try it and see if u can knock to the car infront anot , I even try to accelerate, the car in return brake so hard
Actually why insurance can’t give rebate for such car as it the risk is so low . All taxi and pmd should installed this as they always are fatigue or pass out incident . Even u pass out the car will auto brake for you

i agree, alot of my joker friends say they are the anti collision feature. that is until they rear kiss others.

Agree , ad cars quality is really zzzzz, bring in the lowest spec and lowest trim . Think sinkie are all farmers . I rent a Volvo S60 t6 awd in USA . And Singapore is selling t2 or t3 . Don’t understand why sg cars so underpowered . I want buy is 350 , they don’t even bring it in , and only sell is300
Really is zzzzzzz, tech inside is also crap , at most front collision , no rear collision , no blind spot indicator , and some no memory seat . Why strip down to like such for these saftly feature

underpower is due to cost.

if they throw a v8 into it, how much more you willing to pay with all the tax tiering system that our favourite party has implemented?

spoken from someone who has no experience with such mechanism.

my vehicle have such safety features - and it did not give me any trouble with the above - not even once.

I only know the first batch of Honda Vezel has such trouble.. recently they have already improved by leap and bound regardless of vehicle makers. I am not driving a Vezel btw.

The new facelighted one is 164k by PI.
C&C is charging 184k, lowest trim with no rear aircon. This is wtf.

Strange, my first gen got rear aircon vents from C&C - thought was quite basic?

People who buy from C&C i pity them for being carrot for such greedy AD.

AD is famous for giving you lowest trim at most expensive price

PI give u highest trim at lowest price.

U see nearly all the 2nd hand merc in sg cartmart selling that is available are not from c&c haha

The list price by PI on sgcarmart - how much can one shave off from there?

I went to view the A200 and GLA180 at C&C and the effective price offered to me after discounts/overtrade/removal of certain freebies was just a bit more expensive than the PI base model. Comparing the specs I would say different better than the PI ones.

blind spot indicator very useful. can recall a few near misses . brake assist is abit tricky. there are some (rare) instances where the system misjudges the distance and auto brakes when traffic is moving off. but of course it is erring on the side of safety.

Yup but it a good thing to be safe , blind spot indicator is really good , but sadly to Said in sg only high range premium car come with it like the bm 7 series . Seriously how much does it even cost
