Any cheap, reliable and quiet robot vacuum with lidar sensor that can navigate a 4-room flat without any issues to recommend? I saw some brands like 360, and roborock and some third party brands which one offers the best performance to price? I do not require the mopping function as I think that the mop is useless, only adding to the extra cost. Unless there is a cheap and reliable one with mop function too.

Budget would be around 200-300

I am using roborock s50 for 2 years, old model. Diy repaired it a few times. Xiaomi home app keep improving, adding virtual barrier and room selection.

Ya, my mum complained it is bad, cannot sweep the edges and corners. Lol

My LG roboking battery upslorry on Thursday unable to charge, use 4yrs+ already, check oem battery cost abt $60, not sure change already can continue to use or not. Scared like last time roomba buy oem battery detect not orignal cannot use. Thinking even if get new battery doubt LG can last a few years more

Then wanted to get xiaomi 1c with camera + wet mop at sgd299 but saw this one at half price no camera. Now dun want spend too much money :(

surprisingly able to navigate all rooms then finish clean at other end of bedroom still able to find the charging stn at living room.

Only the dining chair did not go under vacuum, sofa, bed ok~

Now playing with wet mop, much dryer than moi scooba. But scooba diff technology in mopping

quite satisfied, still can do scheduling but the map like useless cannot set anything, just for visual shiok

Hello guys, need advice. Just gotten a 360 S7 pro from my inlaws who bought it direct from China. Tried to set up using the app but failed with error message "this device is region-restricted" Any ways to resolve this? Thanks in advance.

Anyone using the Xiaomi 1c and how is it? Or any better recommendations for that price of around $300?

Do u occasionally reset and remap it? Mine sometimes will haywire a bit de, like new mapping overlap with existing. But it will go away after i restart the robot and map.
yups.. know problem, map corruption, just load back the old good map and it's solved.
it happens like once every few months.. i've had my Hydra S7 for 1.5 years now..

motherboard died in Nov, got it repaired at autobot center for cheap, that's what prompted me to get another set to run in tandem.. LOL
i need the vac every day coz of my 3 bunnies that are free-roaming.

So now my Hydra S7 and roidmi eve plus takes turns to vac my house twice a day.

I send them both out in 30mins interval on weekends before i send my narwal to mop the whole house..

Wat is the actual height of the unit. Saw in their Q&A tat its about 11cm? Probably won’t be able to clean under my bed or sofa...
yeah.. that is about correct.. i'd say your furniture clearance needs to be min 11.5cm for best clearance..

i notice those robot vacuum their suction power is usually 2000 to 2500 PA.. den i notice those cordless handheld ones usually rated at 8 KPa to 12 KPa or more..

so handheld ones are more powerful rite?

Vacuums were originally designed for carpets. So yes, the higher suction power is useful if you mostly have thick rugs. But for normal flooring, you don't need that high amount of suction.

Also, the give and take is that a person using a handheld cordless vacuum is using it to clean the house manually. Which can result in them using it less often over time. So having that extra suction power will be useful.

A robot vacuum on the other hand is good for when your house has already been cleaned before. So what it will do is maintain the state of your house if you clean your house once every 2 days.

So my scenario is this. If I've not been cleaning the home with both a vacuum and a robot vacuum. I will use the normal vacuum to suck up most of the dust.
Then I will never need to touch a vacuum ever again since the dust that has settled after 2 days is immediately picked up by the robot vacuum. Making it less relevant to use a handheld vacuum since small amounts of dust that is 2 days worth is easy for a robot vacuum to pick up. Thus, dust will hardly be able to accumulate from then on.

Now, I use my handheld Dyson V11 to clean up top surfaces around the house. While I leave the floor to my trusty robot vacuum.
