I am also considering getting the Proscenic Smart. Would you be able to advice what is the height and width of it please? I think there isn't a lot of information about it. Been trying to check with the seller, but not getting a response. :s22:

Width is 33.0cm and Height is 8.5cm. Seller take some time to reply my query previously on self-collection but no regrets getting this as I just tried the vacuum and mop funtion, it works well and my floor is clean.

I'm using one at my place now, excellent and nifty robot can control via app oso, best feature is the path recording feature, can draw out a map and trace been routes and report back to my phone with abt 90% accuracy. :D

edit: Heard it's robot mapping algorithm similar to roomba 980 and neato botvac, but mijia robot more similar to botvac.

Thank you very much. Eventually I took the plunge and went with Xiaomi instead. I would have preferred the mopping feature on the Proscenic botvac, but was won over by the mapping and obstacle avoiding features on the Mijia Robot Vacuum.

It is closer to Neato BotVac Connected because of the laser that it uses to avoid obstacles. Roomba uses come kind of camera for the BOT to see instead.

have been using the aztech vc3000 for about 2-3 weeks now.

Batt life is somewhat unpractical. Manual says switch off docking station if not in used. the robot must be docked all the time because if you don't, batt will eventually die out and it won't auto charge on its own. then machine's time will be lost and you need to configure it again. You need the machine's time because it has a "scheduled cleaning option." so, if you don't dock it always(may degrade battery life like all electronics), then, it can't maintain system's time with real time.

also, it doesn't recognise barriers so well, sometimes it just keeps bumping into surfaces and then scrape against them as it tries to turn itself out of it. *heartpain* when you see the scratches on a newly bought machine.

other than that, price at 199(not including further discount due to Lazada's offer) quite ok for that.

Side track a bit, Lazada's delivery and pricing totally beat our local electronics store.
Lazada may deliver the next day upon ordering. Local stores deliver 6 bizness days later.
Lazada is cheaper. Local Stores already discounted price also more exp.

Wow, I hear your sharing also feel heart pain. You mean it will not learn that there is obstacle there after it bump the first time?

For the Proscenic, it will do the mapping and remember that there is obstacle and will not bump onto it the next time then clean the area in zip zag mode.

Would it be helpful if you stick some kind of foam tape to reduce the scratching issue? You will need to choose something that is not too thick though.

After using the Xiaomi Mi Robot for 2 weeks, I conclude it works well. I have not used any other bots prior to it to draw a comparison, but based on my observation over 2 weeks,

1) It is effective in vacuuming up the dust and dirt.
2) Sensors on the bot are effective in avoiding obstacles and bumping into objects. If it does bump into an object, it will back off a bit before trying to turn away from it to avoid scratching anything.
3) At 64 decibels, its not that loud to me.
4) App allows you to remotely activate the bot in the office or on the go. You can monitor in case the bot do get stuck somewhere, you can also remotely stop the cleaning.
5) Works well on carpets and do not get stuck on it as long as its not the hairy/ furry type.
6) Best of all, it cost me about 350 bucks from Qoo10 with 3 months warranty.

Does it need regular yearly servicing? Sorry noob question. haha.

Apart from clearing the bin and cleaning the filter, I have not done anything much so far. It will be good to maintain like every month or 2, like cleaning the main brush because some hair will get entangled there.

the main concern with pet fur is that the fur will roll into wheels of the robot. so far I've tried lg robot vaccuma are the best in this aspect, irobot wheels roll in a lot of fur at the wheels and over time can wear it out.
