I'm thinking to buy 4090. Last time got the power connector catching fire issue. Is that still an issue now? When you buy the adapter comes with it?
i have no such issue. user problem.

The only problem I have is the case. My evo mid case, only vertical setup is possible. The 4 x power connector took up so much space.

Next time I wont get o11 case, cabling is painful.

4070 at usd 749....?!!!!

If it is just 50 bucks cheaper, this product will be DOA. In other words, Nvidia is telling you to avoid this product and go get the full fledged AD104 in the form of RTX 4070 Ti. To me, even at a 100 bucks discount, the RTX 4070 is still a bad deal because RTX 3080's MSRP was 699 bucks. If the RTX 4070 performs like a 3080 with less VRAM and narrower memory bandwidth, I am not sure if it is a good deal. You lose DLSS 3.0 FG, but at low FPS, FG is not going to be helpful other than pumping out a higher FPS, but with poor latencies.

I feel this trend will continue, unless something drastic happens. So skip this gen if it is not a necessary upgrade.

not simpur upgrade ma

still need change case because of the cable that cannot bend bla bla bla.. means the case of width need to be wider to compensate which wasn't a problem with previous cable

I bought my GPU at Dynacore in-store. I asked the guy for Gigabyte 4090 price, it's a bit lower than printed on their paper. I bought it on the spot. But don't take my word for it. Still do your research.

Anyone know where can I get the "cheapest" 4090 in Singapore now? I am seeing a lot of pricelist listing at 3k, that is the premium model right?
