Update: U2417H from The Shopper Shop came today, monitor is fine, comes with a HDMI to DP cable, and mini USB to USB 3 cable, no issues with the product can buy from The Shopper Shop since its cheaper!
never doubt the Ultrasharp series from DELL.
it commands premium for a number of good reasons.

Yes. The small label states 5 years warranty. Invoice also states a 7 day return policy

Using the U2417H currently, I would say that the colour reproduction is really good (99% sRGB) and no apparent light bleeding as far as I can tell.

Ordered U2417H yesterday at Lazada after reading this thread.
$286.5 after using promo code and delivery charges is a good deal compare to Show price of $339.
Did tried to use ShopBack but didn't read the description carefully and opened other links while doing transaction. If not could have save $10 - $15 more
First time buying electronic online, hopefully I'm not disappointed.

U series the after support by dell is much better/faster compared to the S series... e.g. rma (exchange delivery) is as soon as next business day for U series.

Will not be. Happily using my monitor now, definitely worth the money, $280 for me after $25 discount code which expired but no shopback. Still worth than buying at rtp for $339. Warranty states 5 years but have not done any registration for my monitor / not sure how to register also
