Cubehub's warranty is 4 years labour 3 years parts LOCAL by Cubehub and 1 year official SAGER warranty.

Our pricing gives you 3 years official SAGER warranty where we say its a "parts" warranty. Having a real Sager warranty gives you full assurance in case of trouble because they (Sager) are RESPONSIBLE for your trouble.

It is better to get a Sager warranty for a machine like the NP2098. The Sager warranties ARE EXPENSIVE because they know the true cost of warrantying the notebooks.

You dont have to worry about parts after your 1yr US warranty as we cover extended 3 yrs parts.

That means we will bear the parts which from Sager US. It will be the same when you extended your US warranty. As we want to reduce your cost on Official warranty.

As a pioneer dealer for Sager in Singapore, we have full support and assurance from our HQ to cover you. That what Sager US want to see from cubehub, give better support for Asia customers.

ya, indeed. acer really lousy. i really agree. but i still prefer 3 yrs warranty for any lappy. its not like desktop where i replace e parts my own.

i read somewhere...usually the dead pixel return policy only legible for screen which has more than couple dots.....but dunno if it is true or not

eh the 2098 laptop which i just bought got some problems with typing. when i am typing, sometimes it may go to alt tab or other functions, it is quite ridicuolous.. i am not sure how to explain but tis is what i encounter..

hey cube hub, I've exchanged few emails with regards to the NP9280, but it's all quiet all of a sudden after asking for quote. I've resent them and still awaiting reply, please check your outstanding emails.

For forking out $4600 SGD for a laptop, I hope I get better reply than what I currently get.

I'm thinking of getting a sager 2098 from mucro... but the extra I have to pay for more than 1 year warranty compared to cubehub is pretty hefty. anyone bought extra warranty?

thinking whether to go cube cos warranty from there is free and longer.

in my own opinion, one year warranties are good for say instant RMA situtations where any part is found not working on the spot. For most descent built laptops able to work well out of the box, given the adoption of 6 sigma in most electronic industries now, the chances you won't need the 1 year warranty at all.

Some defects from manufacturer side will only have a chance to show at the end of the 2nd year or in the 3rd of usage. Thats where statisitcs come into play for most warranties terminating past 2nd year. So this justifies the risk for companies offering 4 and 3 years warranties.

For me, if my laptop will to go down, unless the part in question is proprietary (i.e screen, keyboard, touchpad, etc) I will simply just get a replacement part off SLS, it's too much of a hassle, let be if the labor costs exceeds the part cost itself.

yes. like asus 2 years warranty is not really useful becoz things start to go wrong at 3rd yr. the most critical period is
1st yr (some hardware is nt 100% working when just out of e factory)
and
3rd yr (things r old n go wrong)

for mucro warranty, i'm buying the original sager warranty. however for cubehub, their warranty is local. meaning if cubehub daobi within my 4 years warranty period, i have no warranty whatsoever. so its that problem which i'm considering..

So if mucro "daobi" then u're in the same boat cuz sending ur laptop back to USA is a doomsday scenario!

hey checking with current onwers of sager laptops, some models have a CATAV port which conencts a TV aerial to the internal mini PCI TV tuner card.

I understand that sager have this option when configuring laptop for TV tuner, but its seems that it's a USB external TV tuner and not the mini-pci internal one. So will configuring a TV tuner be a duplicate to the one already inside? Since it's essentially an external one?

If no tuner is selected, then will the antenna port be covered (or capped).

the difference is L2 cache...although not too much....im not so sure but some said the performance difference is negligible....better off investing quads from my POV

only certain models do have...and i think the requirements to have tv tuner is of course the AV jack in the laptop which nowadays new laptops seldom have

and the mini-pci i the sager NP8662 is only for bluetooth , wifi , and 3G module...
but i guess there must be another minipci for tvtuner? in sager 9XXX version

Yes, its essentially a Mucro AND a Sager warranty. Its kind of a two warranty deal as well but because of the coverage by Sager, they will be able to cover you on parts. Parts will be hard to find as the laptop becomes older. When you pick a Sager warranty, if the case is so severe that it requires sending it back to the USA, this shipment is absorbed by us.

Yes. However, when you send it back to Sager. You will definitely be able to get it fixed since Sager is "under contract" to fix for you. Shipments are not the issue here. The issue will be the parts costs. If Sager is not "under contract" to fix for you, you take the risk of expecting wild quotations. The scenario of us "daobi" is unlikely since we are catering for Zepto too
